Normally, I would not take the time to right a NEGATIVE review. However, this is not the time. I have been a HAPPY & satisfied customer of Fred’s Down Home Burgers for years! Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been the WORST customer service I have personally experienced. Twice they have messed up my orders. I was told because of their NEGLIGENCE they would give me a credit for a meal. Not only did they not honor their promise. The first time, I decided to redeem it today, hoping they would finally honor their original promise and bottom line get my order CORRECT. Now I was just told that there is a time limit to REDEEM it. WOW, I was NOT told that before. I will NOT accept that level of Mediocrity, PERIOD. I definitely NOT recommend Fred’s Down Home!
Few years back I would have and probably did give this place 4 or 5 stars but sadly it is just not what it used to be. The burgers just don't have any flavor it like they don't use any seasoning at all. It's in fortunate because this place was great at one time.
I know the pic is a lil gangsta but the taste definitely hitting on big homie status. You see the steak cut fries and they were cooked all the way through too. No need for ketchup cause that chilli dripping off that burger getting sopped up by them crispy jumbo fries, ya heard! Kool-Aid was perfection. Customer service was good too! ?
Awesome neighborhood burger stand! Tons of options ranging from burritos to sandwiches but personally nothing beats their burgers! A double burger is GENEROUS in size that don’t skimp. These aren’t smash patties, these are big boys with mass. Go support this local place, you won’t regret it.
Bomb!!! The flavor is on point and the fries are like no other place you’ve been. Best in the area a must try. The price is well on point. Got the king burger with everything.
Fred’s is usually a pretty nice place to get a burger and some fries but beware, sometimes certain kitchen staff just “mail it in” and my Dad’s gotten sick a couple times. Besides that they’re cool just pray over ya food fam and take it easy✌?
I was very pleased with my Royal burger it's huge couldn't get a chance to snap a photo extremely fulfilling this place is a must go to if ever in LA. I've been coming here for some years there has to be a new cook My wife and I noticed the flavor is much more satisfying then before.
Great windows service horrible wait time and the worst prepared beef taco in fridge Junior Burger with cheese no cheese on the taco the cheese on the burger didn't melt the tomatoes were old very disappointed in the quality of the food the girl needs to be clean too much black pepper and a horrible garlic burnt taste ?????

Went for lunch with coworkers, they had a large oder so went first. Every bun was burnt. Placed order after, somehow mine was perfect, and Delicious too.
