Great food and atmosphere!!
Punk Tarts! Amazing crust and a flavor for everyone: Apple; Banana/Nutella; or Dark Berries. Yum!
May 2022 - Dined in on a Saturday night around midnight. Party of 4. Short wait as the place was packed! They sat us at the bar which was fine with us as we were starving!Food/Pricing - Sliced Wolfs 26 Packard ($22.62) was delicious!! A bit messy to eat but still yummy nonetheless. Also got the Nutella Shake ($8.50 + 0.75 for oreos), omg maybe it was the fact that I was starving and it was midnight but SO good!! Highly recommend both!!!Service/Ambiance - Very attentive, quick, and friendly service! It also helped that we were sitting at the bar so we could flag staff down much easier. All the staff were working hard running around, I appreciate the establishment being open so late! Ty!!Will I be back? Heck yes!
Tuna melt and guacamole are DELICIOUS. Service was excellent. The ambience is enjoyable. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars out of 5 is because of the bathroom…it had graffiti with explicit language all over the walls and smelled like some sort of chemical leak.Overall I will be back. I just won’t be using the restroom here ?
Delicious & great service!!
One of my favorite, one of a kind diners. Never have had a bad meal here! Definitely worth checking out!
I've never lived near Fred 62 but have literally decades of good memories eating here when I've been in the neighborhood. Not much has changed (except on the list latest visit the toasters were gone from the tables. I mean I've never used a toaster at a restaurant but have always loved the kitsch of it.) There's a lot of purposeful kitsch here and you either dig it or you don't. (I do.)I especially love the extensive vegetarian menu. I mean no less than 3 kinds of veggie burgers, always good french fries, and that Bearded Mr. Frenchy (cornflake encrusted French Toast...YUM!My wife dug her Carrot Ginger Bisque. I was okay with the Boss Mac n' Cheese. (Which actually may have been too cheese if that's even possible.) Our kid liked his "No Animal" burger. We left sated and maybe even comforted.I hope Fred 62 stays here forever...it's nice to have a neighborhood joint with comfort food galore. (Even if it's not my neighborhood.

Huge portions of delicious breakfast. My friend loves the grilled cheese, so I’ll try that next. Can’t recommend the berry punk tart pastry enough. Chai tea and veggie omelet, great as well.
Outdoor dining only now during the COVID surge but service is fast and friendly. The Poor Boy sandwich was decently tasty, the onion rings are hype. Nothing to complain about this restaurant.
