Location is on the second floor of a shopping complex right after you get off the escalator. Tables were spread out and they had a tank with live seafood, which you will find a most Chinese restaurants. We ordered about 10 dishes for take out including beef chow fun, Singapore mai fun (vermicelli), salt and pepper pork chops, and green beans. Prices were very reasonable, portions were good and they tasted very classic cantonese. Will be back again for take out. Indoor seating is available, but we like the convenience of takeout.

Have been coming to this place for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. Time and again I have always tried other restaurants in the area but always end up coming back to this place due to its consistent cuisine. Whenever we have a family event we usually order catering here so we have tried most of their dishes and have over the years developed a repertoire of favorites. For others who don't know which dishes to order I recommend checking out the posted photos as reference. This place is really good if you order the right stuff. This is cantonese cuisine and very different from your local fast food Chinese place which is loaded with sugar.

Delicious food ?Big portionReasonable priceLove itLunch special daily except holidayHighly recommended

Even before the pandemic, this was one of the cleaner Chinese food restaurants in the area. If you know where Howling Rays is, then you won't have a hard time finding this place. It is located on the 2nd level by Tea Ren side of the plaza. I've been to this place many times before during lunch, but always forgot to write a review. Let's first talk about parking. Parking entrance is on Hill Street and you enter a driveway just before the plaza. It is all underground and very tight. Don't forget to bring your parking ticket as they will validate for you in the restaurant. We recently visited with the whole family and ordered the following: Pork Chop with Spicy Salt, Pan Fried Green Beans, Fried Sole Fish with Salt/Pepper, BBQ Pork, and Beef Chow Mein. Everything tastes great and service is usually very fast. Keep in mind pricing is more expensive on weekends and is all day dinner pricing. If you go during the workweek expect lower lunch special pricing. It seemed like portions are the same so if you can go during the work week, definitely do so. White rice is usually included with any dish you order and is unlimited for your party. They also provide a green hot tea that is good to drink when you are eating heavy and/or greasy food. Service is what you would expect in a DTLA Chinese restaurant. No nonsense, tell me what you want and I'll get it for you attitude. Don't expect a 4 or 5 star customer service. Food comes out quickly and you are eating before you know it. Portions are huge and prices are great. You will have tons of leftovers. The restaurant seems fairly clean and being on the 2nd floor allows a lot of light into the dining area. The restaurant will provide you parking validation stickers, but be sure to get enough so you don't have to pay out of pocket. They are usually generous when offering up parking validation. When leaving the parking garage, you exit off Broadway. There is a parking attendant in a booth right before you exit. Be sure to watch for pedestrians on the sidewalk and utilize their concave mirror they have mounted up above the exit. You don't want to hit some elderly individual or worst yet a kid running across the exit driveway. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a sit-down restaurant that is not super crowded off of Broadway. And after lunch, you can grab a tea or your favorite slushee/cold drink and Ten Ren Tea downstairs.

one of my favorite places, I always talk about them whenever we speak on eating Chinese food. best one I've ever had cant wait to do dine in again

We were tired touring in the downtown entire day and quickly found this place. The place is a bit hard to find, somehow hidden in a China town food plaza, not very commercial at all compared to Korean city we went yesterday. So we thought …

Great food and decent sized portions. Open for takeout only. Check them out.

I've always loved this place. Unfortunately, post pandemic they are no longer open for dine-in. I discovered this place after I googled good Chinese resteraunts in the area and came across a review for Fortune Gourmet. I decided to roll the dice and came to try it out. I've been coming ever since (4 years). The orange chicken is awsome! I ordered the honey walnut shrimp, we'll see how it is... I'm happy to see that it's still here.

I was messaging Paul C. about duck in Hawaii and it triggered an idea to have Peking Duck for lunch. It would be my last meal in Los Angeles during this vacation, so I wanted it to be a good one.

chinese food, yeah, super tasty. Entered near eleven, it wasn't packed. The service here is outstanding.
