One of the best restaurants in LA. Probably number one for soul food.
Every thing was great per usual the drinks were good at the bar! Our dinner was good, there were a few mishaps but everything was taken care of immediately. Always a great time here.
Love this place! Great staff, delicious food, fast service and contemporary drinks all with down home flair. One of my LA Faves.
My only thought regarding your establishment is to train your servers to be pleasant and attentive to their guest We were seated but it took roughly 20-25 minutes for someone to come greet us and take our order. Actually, I had to ask for someone to assists us. Also, some of my party was a bit baffle that we were charged 20% for the gratuity and was taxed for that! These are things that should either be in print or told in advance!
The chicken was bland and a lil over cooked. The yams were bomb, but the Mac n cheese was average. The water tasted off. However, i do recommend the blue kool aid. The menu is very limited with average food. Staff was cool, and the vibe was loud and energetic. Theyâre Definitely working to demonstrate southern culture. Unless youâre there strictly for that, I wldnt recommend.
The food was okay my favorite was the Mac and cheese , I liked the vibe of the place the staff were really nice although we did feel as if our waitress wasnât as attentive as we would have liked but other than that it was an okay experience.
everything was nice with a few minor exceptions. We rode up from Banning on the train just to try the restaurant. We had to wait to be served - yes, we had reservations. The serving took a while to bring our food which was a little unnerving since we had to catch the train going back and were on a time crunch. Everyone liked their food, the ambiance - would have liked the music to be a little older school. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we will probably be back. By the way, we missed the train.
This food is ok. I don't like Dulan's and this is a step down in taste. It is edible. If someone was treating I would go back. The drinks are too strong for my taste. The yams and Mac are good but not great. The pork chops are a no and the fried catfish is not the way we cook . It's like an East coast flavor. I'd grade the restaurant as a C-. Will not return again but the staff was excellent and very courteous.
We waited a few minutes.They recommend you make reservations it gets super busy.Me and a few friends wanted to eat here and we sat at the bar. It was awesome experience with big portions my plate was full of delicious food.I have to say our server kevin was top of the line always making sure if we needed anything ?I had a great dinner and great time.Definitely coming back ?
