This place sits inside of RollyPop Sushi. If your order is to go, use the electronic kiosks at the front entrance to place your order. Staying in? Walk to the front to be seated. They have menus for RollyPop, but just tell your waiter you want FishPop. You have only two selections: Fish and Chips or Shrimp and Chips spicy or regular. The Shrimp was good. Actual Prawns and the batter wasn't heavy. The fish was good too, but different batter and cooked longer. The Chips are real potatoes. Think thicker In-n-Out fries. The spice is an Asian spice and decent, but not terribly spicy. The Slaw and Tartar sauce were not very flavorful.Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. They have a wheel they bring to your table. Spin it for a chance for free food or discount from your order.
Our middle son LOVES seafood, but with three kids on this trip, we needed a more family-friendly option for the pocketbook. The Codmother was PERFECT for us!! We had clam chowder, calamari (a HUGE portion! Those pictures are deceiving!), gosh and chips, and loaded fries. Plenty for five of us to share and try a little of everything.
Great local spot for fish and chips! Located in the heart of fisherman's wharf but the food is actually fresh and crips unlikely a lot of the touristy places nearby. The Baja sauce is a must order and ask for extra! The fish is white and fishpop and the fries are warm and flavorful.
Best place in town! I've never had better fish and chips in my life! Mouth watering and worth the wait!
We ordered the fish and chips. Two large pieces of fried cod and a heap of delicious fries. They give you tartar sauce and there's ketchup on he tables. This place is a cool little truck stop that definitely curbs your hunger and hits the spot. The fish and chips and fries were spot on and deliciously hot on a cold day by the pier. Definitely would stop by again!
This was THE BEST fish I've ever had. It was remarkable. There was this fluffyness to the meat and a delicate and delicious texture to the fried skin that I've never experienced before! The fries were ESPECIALLY good! Fish tacos were also on point!
Located in Rollypop, it's easy to miss this place if you're looking for fish and chips. We had to do a second look when we entered and ask the staff behind the counter is we are in the right spot.We ordered the Classic fish and chips and the fried fish is not disappointing. The chips were a little sad and soggy for.my liking so we didn't finish it. The meal also came with a coleslaw which is OK. The fish and chips also came with tartar sauce which is not too bad and malt vinegar which is the sauce of my choice. The service is awesome though. So polite and genuine.
Fish was of very good quality! It came out nice and crispy on the outside with a deliciously moist interior. Didn't care much for the fries as they came out a bit soggy and oily. Tartar sauce and Cole slaw were decent, definitely worth a try but I don't know if I'd come back again.
Very nice staff and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the fish sandwich and fish and chips.
Very light, crispy breading on the fish, fries were fantastic, huge portions. Highly recommend.
