My husband, son, and I went to Fellow for my birthday. The food was amazing, the ingredients fresh, each prepared in a creative way, and the servers were friendly. I’m pleased that we ordered and shared the four appetizers and three mid courses that were on the menu. And I was glad that the portions weren’t too large so when we left, I was pleasantly satisfied but not stuffed. My favorite dishes: * Salanova lettuces with buttermilk vinaigrette, herbs, and quinoa crumble * Tempura-fried maitake mushrooms with nori aioli and meyer lemon * Roasted carrots with black rice and mushroom The favorites of my husband: * Buttermilk ranch salad (also one of my favorites) * Seared duck with smoked pear, onion, and black garlic * Pea pasta If you don’t find the restaurant listed under Fellow, my spies tell me that it’s now called Wolfsglen.
The indoor dining room at Fellow is beautiful, and it is interesting to be able to visit the gallery next store. The Hamachi crude appetizer was excellent, as were the fish entrees. The weakest dish was the fennel salad, but the cheesecake made up for it. The place was very quiet (i.e., a bit desolate) for a Saturday night. The service was attentive, but could have been paced a little slower. We have eaten here before, and will come back again.
This was our second time dining at Fellow in Westwood while visiting our son; this place manages to capture a little bit of magic -- the space itself is gorgeous, the food innovative and beautifully presented and the staff warm and friendly. If you're looking for large portioned fare, (plenty of places to get that), this is probably not for you; but if you relish a true culinary experience in a welcoming environment that pays close attention to detail, I highly recommend Fellow to set the tone for a memorable evening. Despite the beauty/formality of the space, we always feel comfortable and welcome here, it is truly perfect for a celebratory evening.Don't miss the cocktail menu -- wide-ranging and delicious assortment (so tasty). My only regret is not taking more pictures (we were too busy enjoying ourselves!) next time.
Lovely ambiance and staff
10/10 experience in all ways. So good
Great service.
Overpriced; quantity way too small for what is charged.
Great the food and drinks were amazing
The food is delicate but pricey. The portions are a bit too small. The noisy level is a bit high for a fine-dining restaurant.
Excellent dining experience from the restaurant atmosphere, the staff (Gabrielle F. - OUTSTANDING), the drinks (Adam- and amazing mixologist - try his Rhubarb Rising), the staff/team, and last but not least the FOOD!!!
