Super unique place! The veggie burger was delicious.I’d definitely order that again. My bf ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich… he said it wasn’t that great..In my opinion. The Philly cheesesteak fries were not worth the buy.The fries were dry, the meat was bland/wiggly, and there was nothing special about the fries as a whole..I couldn’t get onion on top of the fries because they were to acidic for my stomach, but maybe it could have tasted better with the onions..

I was in the area for a performance at Geffens Playhouse just down the street from Fat Sals so I figured now would be the perfect chance to try it out. When I came, it was a Sunday at around 5:30 pm, the place was empty. There was ample seating (outdoors only) and umbrellas to shield you from the sun.The menu is on a very large wall, very easy to see and as elaborate as some of the options were, it was pretty easy to navigate. The man who took our order was very nice and patient. We ended up ordering a triple cheeseburger, an order of cheeseburger fries, the phillycheesesteak fries, an order of 6 mozarella sticks, and 2 drinks. Our total came out to 56 dollars which was a little pricey in my opinion for the quality of the food you get.The cheeseburger was fine, the mozarella sticks were good (the marinara sauce and ranch were a bit watery/not very flavorful), but the fries were sooo dissapointing. Our cheeseburger fries and phillycheesesteak fries hardly had any meat on them. I ordered the phillycheesesteak fries as an entree, and I finished the entire plate but was still left unsatisfied.I don't agree with the 4.5 star rating, but I can kind of understand why this place has such high reviews. It's open late, located near a big college, and I'm sure many students come here after a night of drinking/smoking. It probably tastes OK under those circumstances, but the sober meal I had at Fat Sals last Sunday left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fat Sal's only feels right as a late night munchies. Four of my friends and I shared two sandwiches. It was honestly good to divide the sandwich into smaller pieces because these were thick bois. We ordered the Fat Sal and Hot Fat Chick. I liked the Hot Fat Chick better since I like to feel something every once in a while. The only downside of Fat Sal's is that you leave feeling like you made a grave mistake. Side effects come the next morning.

I didn't try the"fat" sandwiches so, this review is based on the standard size sandwiches. The sandwich was good but, it wasn't great enough to warrant higher rating. Definitely overpriced. There are definitely some unique sandwiches that you can't get anywhere else but in comparison to the dandiest place from NJ, I think the competition is much better in both flavor and value.Would I come back again. Probably not. I wanted to try it but it simply wasn't good enough for me to really want it or go out of my way to get it again. Sorry, I know there are a lot of die hard fans of Fat Sal's but I'm not one of them.

great food. love all their sandwiches. takes a LONG time tho. expect to wait

What a total rip off. $5.50 for A tiny serving of seasoned fries? This is worse than fast food. Not to mention false advertising with the photo on their online ordering system. Not to mention they were cold and don’t even taste good. Will not ever be back

Best sandwiches and burgers in Westwood. The portions are huge and filling. I would go there again anytime i'm in the area

Amazing burgers !!One of the best veggie burger I had. Its not easy to find nice veggie burger, It’s jucy and super tasty with great combination of vegetables.Took out one star for sitting, dinning is outdoor and there is no outdoor heater to make it cozy.

Great sandwiches - great service, friendly help staff, perfect hole in the wall dining!

Service is amazing for the size of this place & the amount of business that they turn out!Burgers are juicey & flavourful. Chilli fries with Mozarella cheese was a bivalve too much!!!! Food of the Gods......The only thing missing was a good old fashion thick shake.
