Historic restaurant, often touristy. I recommend going at least once. Service is quick and the food arrived hot. Chips and salsa arrived quickly; salsa had good flavor and wasn't spicy... The other red sauce was a little spicy. Our waiter was attentive. I had combo #1. The beef taco was good. The cheese enchilada and the beans were mediocre. They seemed to have used a sharp cheddar for the enchilada so it had a very strong flavor. The beans tasted canned. Overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice just don't expect too much and you'll be fine.

We came for late lunch and waited 5 minutes for a table. Chips and salsa start the experience and the red Chile served alongside the salsa is hot?! The food is freshly prepared and served hot. Generous portions and tasty. Kitschy and fun. Helpful, plz let me know and enjoy El Coyote.

Seated quickly and food server was quick. I didn't think to ask or say no onions in the enchilada I ordered. At my favorite Pasadena Mexican restaurant, there are no onions inside the enchilada. FOOD came quickly. With one bite, I tasted an onion inside the enchilada. I called the food server over, who came quickly and took back the enchilada that had an onion inside and very quickly brought me an enchilada w/out onions diced inside it. It tasted very good. The salsa was a bit stronger tasting than I was used to, but good. I got out in plenty of time to make a movie date.I had to use the restroom 3 times during the double feature movie at the phenomenal New Beverly Cinema. Maybe it was a coincidence. All in all, the service and food was good at El Coyote..However it did go right thru me at the movie theatre restroom.

Amazing service. Amazing vibe. Beautiful location. Has Hollywood history tied with it, and it helped that we were seated right across from the infamous “Sharon Tate Booth”. It has such a welcoming, family vibe. Definitely found a new favorite in Los Angeles!

An LA historic staple that's a good spot to bring out-of-town friends who have never visited the city before. Inside is warm and buzzing and the plates are hearty with good portions. Get the Enchilada Howard... You can thank me later!

Two visits in one week did not disappoint. Outdoor seating under heaters and the lights of Beverly BLVD was perfect.Tables are large and spaced apart nicely. Generous servings and reasonable prices.Staff were attentive and took all recommended precautions. Highly recommend.

Worth the hype! The food is incredible and the staff is very nice. Great atmosphere as well.

This was my first visit after hearing rave reviews for years about this restaurant and it definitely did NOT disappoint! The food was excellent and the customer service was exceptional! We barely finished our drinks and the waiting staff was right there filling us up again. I had the steak street tacos and the steak was savory and delicious! My son had the shrimp fajitas while my husband went with the chicken flautas. Everyone unanimously gave this well run restaurant a 10 for 10. Oh…the beans and rice???!?!? CRAZY DELICIOUS!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️???

Amazing Mexican food. Service was great and they were refilling totopos every time they were running out. Burrito is big, cheesy and great taste. Fajitas were good.

OMG…. Was there recently and was thrilled to be home again! Between the pandemic and moving even farther sway than I was I had a memorable delicious lunch with my daughter and my niece! Took all the left overs and a full combination plate home …..FOR ME! I ate every bite! (No one else was allowed to TOUCH it ! Gold, in my house!
