great food!! I used to always go to the boba place next to here after school and I was curious to try their food. im so happy i did. i HIGHLY recommend the beef pineapple curry. amazing portions, amazing food, amazing employees. 11/10 i am DEFINITELY coming back soon !!
This is Thai food delicious ? and Thai tea good ?
Went back: Yellow curry was great. Boba was old and in a giant clump. Crispy pork: some pieces were so dry like they'd been fried 3-5 times. Others were soggy with dry meat. They also forgot our rice. Today they were much slower than my last visit. I'm not sure what happened.Delicious food. Still hot once we got home despite the drive. Pumpkin (kabocha squash) in pumpkin curry was a little over cooked. Some of the best boba I've ever had. Will be back for the spicy crispy pork as well.
Never in my life did I think someone would care less about my allergies. I will continue to make posts until acknowledged these people are horrible. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. i ordered and then called telling them I had an allergy and they told me to order from some place else because they were too lazy to fix the order.
Great staff, consistent quality, easy online ordering, parking available, delicious food. Easily my favorite Thai restaurant on the west side. Their Pad Ekkamai is wonderful if you’re stuck between ordering a noodle and or curry.
This is not Thai food. I had the dumplings (gyoza) and Bam-Boom. Both were filled with massive sugar. Why would anyone put sugar in Gyoza/dumplings!? The bam-boom has a comically low amount of chicken. This was one of the very few times I had to just throw out entire meal. Also, this restaurant does not receive any special requests/instructions when ordering via Doordash so don't expect modifications. With that said, I called and spoke to this restaurant prior to making my order to ensure everything would be made correctly and the staff are super friendly (even though none of the instructions I discussed with them were followed).
This restaurant was just a short drive from the LMU campus and a go to favorite for my daughter. The parking lot was an L shape around the restaurant and limited street parking was also available. Look out for the Ekkamai street sign hidden in the trees. The Thai food portions were generous but most of all fit the college student budget. Currently they were only accepting take out orders and all transactions were handled at the door. We only waited for about 10 minutes under the covered patio. There was lots of menu variety with noodles, soups, curries, rice dishes and desserts. We stick with noodles on this visit: The Drunken Noodles came medium spicy and had a nice kick. We ordered it with chicken and that came along with red and green peppers but the tomatoes were unexpected but nice. Chewy noodles and very good flavors. A definite repeat. The pad see ew had a smoky flavor with chopped broccoli and fried tofu cubes. Not too oily with good texture on the rice noodles. It’s now my daughter’s favorite dish here.
Ekkamai is on regular rotation at our house. Everything we've tried has been good and they also have a great beer menu that is available for takeout during the pandemic.
I do DoorDash and I receive numerous orders for this place so I decided to try it out and see why so many people order from here. After buying and trying their food, it all made sense why this spot is always receiving orders. Their food is amazing and packed with taste. The workers are so kind and friendly. It’s definitely a place to try out if you haven’t already.
Good Thai food, their logo drives me crazy because the two Ks look identical but its supposed to look handwritten.
