Eightfold's Echo Park location is effortlessly elegant, and illuminous with morning lights. There are wooden benches and small tables along the walls, the rest—a great amount of space—is generously left empty. The space feels like a warehouse art gallery. My first drink at Eightfold was an excellent cortado, bright, balanced, and beautiful. During my following visits I had the Eightfold Cold Brew and Golden Latte. I enjoyed them both, especially the tumeric latte. I thought it would be a regular latte with tumeric powder like a cinnamon latte, but it's not espresso based and I still liked it.All this said, the services I received have been consistently distant, not rude, just distant, unenthusiastic. The baristas are much more lighthearted with the regulars, which makes me feel like an outsider.

Had a lovely coffee and avo on toast that met Melbourne standards for breakfast.. not an easy thing to do.Sadly it was our first meal out in the states for some years and I thoughtlessly tapped without adding a tip - judging by the thinly veiled rage of the young woman serving us the plastic forks may have been a subtle form of revenge. I can empathise, but it was unpleasant and unprofessional.

Decent cold brew, very cozy vibe. After sitting here for 5 minutes I could tell that most of the people in this shop see each other frequently, but there's enough space and light to keep it inviting to outsiders.

really great Thanks a lot and very nice team ❤️

Great food! The avo toast was sooo fresh (: always great service and locals vibe

I don’t always eat avocado toast. But, when I do, it isn’t here because this was my first time at Eightfold. Also, I was able to fold my napkin more than eight times. So, I’m not sure what the name of this place even means…Good cortado, generous Avo Toast for the price. I won’t be coming back, though. I don’t live in Los Angeles.

This cafe might seem a little out of the way for most Echo Park roamers, but that’s a plus in my book. It’s not overly crowded and pretty spacious on the inside. Well lit with the tall glass windows and a variety of seating to fit everyone’s needs. If there is any downside it’s that the menu isn’t as diverse as other cafes. This isn’t such a bad thing since they do a solid job with the staple drinks, and they offer a pretty robust list of teas as well. Something many other cafes can’t boast. For a regular and local to the cafe, that’s exactly what you want. For anyone who is just exploring the neighborhood, you’re better suited going further west on Sunset though. It’s also a bit cluttered in the back making it hard to sit at the communal tables if someone is blocking one side of it already. And it’s not as well lit back there either but that’s a given since you’re pretty far back from the windows.Overall a decent cafe at the edge of the hood that’s worth a stop at.

Very weird coffee shop that kind of feels like grandmas house during they day. Dim, big comfy chairs, mismatched furniture, and everything has that vaguely faded look to it. I do come for those circle waffles - a favorite, and the wifi is reliable and there are lots of outlets. Great food too. Just so dim grandma why don't you ever open the curtains.

Walked in here around 7 am after having some scary car issues and just a bad start to my morning in general. I wanted something sweet, but not sure if I really wanted coffee. This was the closest place open, so I walked in. Liked the vibes, decor, aesthetic or whatever you want to call it. Stepped up to the bar, and asked if they had any sweet coffee. She said something along the lines of having mocha and nah fam that ain't it. If I want something sweet it's got to be like Starbucks frap type sweet. She suggested the in house made chai tea, so I like yeah that sounds alright too I guess. I got it and I was happy with it. Not the BEST in the world, but still pretty good.

I got a regular iced latte which was pretty good! It did lack espresso flavor and tasted a bit more like milk. The customer service was great!
