?? EL SALVADOR (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - If you have ever spent any time in El Salvador and Central America, away from the resorts, using public transportation and going to restaurants that local families patronize, walking into the back patio of Don Lencho will immediately bring back memories. While the (now unused) walk-up window in front speaks of California, there is no greater portal to the Pacific Coast of El Salvador than the dining area of this grilled fish specialist in South Los Angeles, just a block away from Harvard Park.

Bad service. Called ahead for my order (they said 25 min for it to be ready) but it was not ready when i arrived. I waited and extra 30 min and my food still wasn't ready so i left.

we were at don lencho trying to order food and they waiter was being rude and waited for a table that was dirty for a while and then the waiter was giving us attitude and the waiter attending us threated us

Service a bit slow. No real direction on how things work.

Very delicious my favorite place to eat pupusas y mojarra asada

This is a good place to eat a real salvadorean Pupusas , really good taste , love this place it’ll be one of my favorite … !!!

I was invited to eat at this place. They offer a good variety of Salvadoran delicacies, including pupusas, plátanos fritos, chicken soup and they're well known for their fried fish dish. The service is okay and prompt. However, hygiene is definitely not their forte. It feels like walking into a South of the border joint with plastic tables, beat up furniture and houseflies galore. Yikes, please bring your fly swatter unless you don't mind musca domesticas all over your food! It's befuddling how the Department of Public Health allows a food establishment to operate in these conditions. I believe some regular deep cleaning, and a few fans would make a difference in this place. I wouldn't recommend it as is.

This place is over priced and be ready to have flys all over you. This gross and tasteless mojarras. Just save your pennies and go to San Pedro fish market.
