Absolutely favorite place. I always get my chicken fried rice and chicken pan fried dumpling. Always delicious. I have been ordering since it was ROC, now it’s Dan the quality is same it’s delicious and tasty.Recently I order for pickup but fue to my work I could pick my food on time and it was almost closing time 9:06 pm I called them to see if I can still come pick my food, they said yes. I went and the manager gave me my food without any charge as the food was already cold. Ah that was the sweetest thing ever.I always had a good experience dining in or picking. Since COVID I only have been picking my food here and always got good service.Thank you
I went to the restaurant to order because I forgot my phone . I went to Home depot across the street. I ordered at 10:50 am. I watched them whirl out the orders and mine came out 1 hour later. Yup. 1 hour I waited. Food is good, but a 1 hour wait? God help them if it was a fast food restaurant. They need help with the kitchen order times. Like help the patrons in the restaurant and not the delivery service first. Or hire someone just to prepare orders for delivery and the rest for restaurant.
I love this place. The only reason I'm not giving 5 star is because of their hosting service. Even when it was our turn in the line, they took a while to get to us to put our names down. Food and table services are great. Noodles are amazing. It looks small but is big and filling, infact I brought some home. Short rib on the noodles are tender and juicy. Both veggies and meat dumplings are so fresh and juicy, even the dough tasted good. Veggie mapo tofu was really good. Scallion pancakes were not that good, It's 1st item on the menu and not every places have this, so I feel like it's just catchy.
Great food and usually great service. Dining in at Dan is always incredible. Great service and every single menu item is incredible.I ordered takeout today and online it said 20 min wait then i got an email saying an hour. Had to wait in line another 20 min to cancel. I would’ve waited it out but I had movie tickets. Lesson learned. We’ll be dining in only moving forward
Visiting from Wisconsin. Walked here from the KAWS BFF Statue that we took pictures in front of in honor or BTS.I felt safe because they asked for our vaccination cards.The restaurant is clean and sleek. Our server was friendly and accommodating to our reasonable requests (we wanted to share a soup between 4 ppl since we were sharing everything family style).Honestly, glad that we shared the spicy oxtail soup because it was hearty and rich and I don't think I could have finished a bowl by myself (the bowl size is a pho-like small, not a pho-like medium, which is already pretty large). But it was super tasty with a pleasant mouthy feel of star anise.The pork&shrimp soup dumplings were superb. The pan-fried pork samplings were excellent.The seaweed&tofu salad tasted like japchae with the subtle sesame oil.And the chicken dan mein--the noodles were the perfect bite, and with the mushrooms, chicken, and snow pea leaves, it came together with a deliciously, silky toasty flavor.10/10 would recommend for cleanliness, friendly staff, and fantastic food.They know what they're doing!!!
This restaurant offers a variety of delicious Pan- Asian appetizers and entrees. Pictured are the Scallion pancakes, Salt & pepper tofu and Crispy dumplings.The scallion pancakes are a delicious, savory appetizer and was my favorite part of the meal. The crispy dumplings are delicious and unique, with a crispy layer above the actual dumplings. The Jasmine tea also provides a great beverage to add to the meal.
Absolutely LOVE the soup dumplings here. I recommend them to anyone who likes soup dumplings and don't want to travel further out.I also really love the short rib dan mein and the crab fried rice. ?There's almost always a wait here for dinner, and honestly it's for a good reason. Their food is well worth the wait.

Well arrived and waited out with other customers and pick up people. Employees walked by us and ignored us. Not one employee did this, all of them ignored us! This place needs new management. They didn't even ask what we needed. Front desk only cares about the call.
Really delicious mapo tofu! The portion was generous. The service here is really good and it’s a convenient location right inside Runway Playa Vista.The soup dumplings, scallion pancakes, and baby bok choy were all also really good.The interior vibe is a little sparse and spartan, a little too bright at night.I admire that Dan is a really well-run restaurant!!
