I've down the neighborhood and a regular at Big Jim's @Vermont/Melrose but was in the daily donuts zone and stopped by in the AM. Was very impressed. Very good LA donut shop. I had 1x "Simpson's" donut and it was perfect, a Chocolate twist & some of my friend's apple fritter which was really good, it was light and really cinnamon'y, not heavy like some spots do.
Quintessential Cambodian LA donut shop. They're not worrying themselves with hyped-up products for social media, just really solid classic donuts and a good variety and price. I feel bad I've lived in Los Feliz as long as I have without stopping by... definitely my new go-to spot!
They take Venmo now! So happy this family-run small business survived the pandemic. Awesome, friendly service. They have the best cake donuts. Mmmm. And they have my favorite, chocolate old fashioned. Not even Dunkin has them anymore.
