This is an exciting ramen shop. Probably not the best ramen in the world, but I gotta say it's very good and very enjoyable. The noodle is cooked with good balance of softness and resistance. The broth is rich but not overly so, inviting enough for you to slurp it clean after you're done with the noodle. The egg and the katsu pork are quite good, although I think they need to marinate the katsu a whole lot more so it has more flavor.Takoyaki is pretty decent but price is kinda expensive. I really like that fact they got combo special where you get the ramen, salad and small pork cutlet on rice, since the pork cutlet is cooked to perfection and super succulent. The service is super quick & efficient with no nonsense attitude and quite attentive, I like that a lot. Place is a bit small, but everywhere in Little Tokyo is a bit small.Expensive? I think price is quite friendlyWould I return? Absolutely

Love coming to Daikokuya, a must if you go to Little Tokyo. Long wait, we waited about 45 minutes to an hour. Make sure you sign the sheet by the entrance in order to be seated. You enter a namez how many are in the party, and if you prefer indoor or outdoor seating. We both got the spicy miso ramen, it was perfect. The noodles were plump and bouncy, and the broth was delicous. We also got the homemade gyoza and karaage which were both tasty.

Intimate and charming Japanese joint that has stood the test of time. The ramen was great and we left happy customers.I got the beef bowl and I highly recommend it if you need your fixing.

It was sooooo yummy. Great service thank you ??

Food was great. Tasty and authentic. Service was fast and friendly. The 4 star is because it is a little dingy and parking is an issue. Would recommend if you are wanting Ramen!

This is hands down my favorite ramen shop. It's got a cozy, bustling atmosphere and their Daikoku ramen is like a flavorful hug in a bowl. It's like a little secret I share with all my closest friends because they deserve the best. No other place compares, please do yourself a favor and try it out.

Decent ramen and small bowls on the side. The takoyaki and karage are pretty good. The egg with the ramen is about 30-45 seconds overcooked.

With so many Ramen shops to choose from I was glad we chose this spot! We tried the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was so delicious. The broth was so flavorful and noodles and toppings were all cooked well and fresh! For our first time enjoying Ramen from a restaurant we were very impressed. They offered inside and outside dining, we chose outside because the weather was particularly nice, just be ready to ignore some people being really weird on the street. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the wait wasn't long either. Price is perfect and could even charge more for such delicious food! The bowls are big enough to share if you aren't too much of a glutton.

i visited on new year's eve — the wait was nearly an hour but it was definitely worth it! the restuarant was small, the atmosphere felt like an authentic japanese ramen bar. everything i ordered was visually appealing and tasted amazing! the appetizers are small, but their ramen bowls are huge! they recommend toppings for each ramen they serve, i took one of the suggestions, definitely worth the extra money. be wary though, when they are busy, they might forget something, which is understandable (they had forgotten to put pork in my ramen). make sure to show up early and be ready to spend a bit, this restuarant is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it!

Great ramen and great service. Deserves all the good reviews that it has.
