I have eaten at this restaurant many times and have brought various friends with me. I have always had great meals here, no exceptions, and all my friends have also loved this place. The sauces are really special here---unusually creamy and flavorful. The staff is friendly and attentive. By far the best Indian food in all of Los Angeles!
It was 8pm on a Wednesday night in Mid City when the hunger pains began. My partner suggested Crown of India Tandoori Restaurant, as we have ate there once before & it was an unforgettable experience. I immediately thought they were closed as it is a family owned restaurant. However, they're open until 10:30pm! I was elated & jumped in the car to get down to the restaurant as soon as possible. We walked in & were immediately seated by Maruf. We already had a game plan of what we wanted. Veggie samosa, tandoori chicken wings (two orders this time!), & garlic naan bread. The first time we ate here we tried the chicken tikka masala & it was delicious! We had to try something else & this time we ordered the Vindaloo chicken because we love spice! We were served onion bhaji somewhat like an onion ring with our veggie samosa. The wings are unbelievably flavorful, some of the best chicken wings that have ever blessed my taste buds. Everything is actually full of flavor. This place is a must try! We topped off the evening with the mango kulfi, what I describe as a perfect little mango ice cream to end the glorious night. Amazing family & service, thank you Maruf!P.S. some food didn't make it for pictures because we were so excited to eat!
Extremely delicious and large portions. Place is very clean and authentic Indian. Took my parents here and they enjoyed everything about this restaurant.
Fabulous flavors and fresh food. Consistently good and made with love and attention. Gulab jamun is made fresh in house—never had it like that before! I love that it’s family-owned and tastes like home cooking. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. Coconut stuffed naan yum!
The best authentic Indian food. A real hidden treasure. I bring all my friends here. Amazing Vegan and vegetarian options as well !! One of my favorite wings in Los Angeles
This is the best Indian Food place in LA! Family owned & operated! Family friendly! Very authentic! Incredibly tasty. If I could give 10 stars I would! Maruf is the best! Go & they will take good care of you! 2nd time this week ordering and there will probably be a 3rd! The type of food you crave after having it!
Since moving to LA and being a Indian food lover, crown of India has not disappointed. From the service to the food, everything meets expectations. I highly recommend!!
Food is very delicious! The service is great as well, we ordered the chicken ticka, coconut shrimp, coconut chicken, chicken wings, cheese nan bread, garlic nan bread, fried rice, and white rice. Also all the food is halal ! A place that everyone needs to experience.
This restaurant is truly a jewel. The dishes are so fragrant- in a very different way. I highly recommend the Butter Dal, it takes 45 hours of preparation time to fully cook and all the dishes are prepared fresh. The owners are friendly and helpfuI, and I will definitely come back to Crown of India.
This place has great quality food and worth the wait since I went at a very busy time. I've eaten Indian food all over the world and Crown of India ranks highly on my list. I will definitely come here more now thati moved back to Los Angeles.
