The absolute best part of my morning. Best coffee and best service in the area. Always super clean, and a chill vibe. I love the avo toast and oat milk lattes. Super stoked they’re in my neighborhood.

Decided to try this cute cafe before exploring the Roosevelt hotel. I'm an LA local and constantly drinking coffee around my hood in Los Feliz and Silverlake, but rarely check out new places in Hollywood! I had a DELICIOUS pistachio cappuccino! I mean... hands down one of the most memorable drinks in a long time. It was a surprise to see this milk option. I usually get regular milk. But this was strong, creamy, tasty...so nice. The Cafe is so cute and soothing. Really pleasant and unpretentious vibe with lots of pretty plants and soothing green.Tables outside are nice under a pretty tree, trying to catch some shade. Had a breakfast sandwich and it was super good and well priced! The egg wasn't fully heated up and was bit cool in the middle, but I still wolfed it down, with no complaints, so you know it was tasty.I thought my drink would be the highlight, but then I decided to try a Swedish style vanilla/cardamom pastry, before I left....and HOLY COW I will drive back here, without question, to get it again. Absolute must try! Soft, fluffy, dense, sweet but not too sweet, this is the kind of pastry that stops you in your tracks. ? So happy I ventured a bit west. This place is definitely better and more welcoming than a handful of locations near me. And a bit less expensive for great quality.
Excellent chai latte, wow it was delicious and the avocado toast as well. Very nice breakfast spot for a quick stop before visiting Hollywood boulevard.
Found this place on Google maps and went there out of convenience the first day. The next two days were because the first day experience was great. I had an Americano and a cinnamon (but made with cooler sounding spices that I can't remember) flavored pastry and they were very tasty!
When I say I come here everyday, I mean it lol. My favorite coffee shop. The food and drinks are phenomenal, I usually get an avocado toast or a parfait/overnight oats. The ginger latte is also mad delicious and worth the try. Best chocolate croissants I’ve ever had and everything is local. Staff is always super chill and extremely helpful and kind. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a lowkey local coffee shop. Small spot, big flavors ? Not to mention it’s ethically run.
Always a great option when in the area. Laid back coffee shop, no frills and great products. Outdoor seating area is along a chill block (which you don’t get too much of in Hollywood). The owner is always present and the employees are super helpful. There’s a Starbucks not far, but I always make the decision to grab my cold brew @ Compelling.
As someone who has traveled a lot and needs coffee to survive, this place consistently provides the best service and quality drinks (and snacks...please try the chocolate cookie it's insane). The staff are super friendly even during hectic times and always remember my drink order which means a lot. Really grateful for this special little spot!
I have to say, I’ve only started drinking coffee in the past year or so, so I never really had a “spot” I loved going to, until now. The staff is amazing and super helpful and the coffee is great! I’ve been telling my friend about Compelling Coffee for a couple weeks because I told her I really love the coffee there. She tried it and now can’t stop going there herself. Everyone should definitely try this spot (and bring a friend, they’ll thank you later).
Best chai latte I’ve ever had - no bullsh*t. If you’re looking for a quaint little coffee shop that’s friendly and serves quality coffee/chai then this place is it.
