One of my favorite places, I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years. The food is always delicious, Arif is fantastic. I wish I lived closer. Tandoori oven.
The best samosa and rice pudding in LA ! ?
Fresh and flavorful food ! I have been eating here for more than 20 years and their quality and service has always been on point . Love eating at Chutneys !
Disappointed when I see an immigrant business owner stealing another worker tipsI tipped the worker and the owner rushed to the tip jar grabbed the money and put it in his pocket! How tacky and cheap! And for the food part is salty and burned not worth it! Doesn’t taste authentic at all!!
I'm generously giving 3 stars because of the fantastic customer service. The food, however, was disappointing to say the least. It wasn't horrible per say, but nothing tasted like Indian food except for the rice and naan. Indians are the best when it comes to spices (in my opinion) and the food lacked many of the authentic Indian spices. I didn't taste any curry, cumin (except for in the rice), or turmeric in any of the entrees. The food wasn't bursting with flavors like authentic Indian food does. Almost every Indian dish consists of sweet, spicy, salty, & sour flavors. These dishes were only salty. The vegetable samosa had no cumin or peas and didn't have the crispiness of authentic Indian samosa. It was very soft. The chana masala was missing some key spices but it was actually pretty decent. The pakora was missing spices and could've been crispier but it was decent. The lentil soup was on the salty side but it was okay. The paneer saag was highly disappointing. It wasn't cooked down and didn't taste like saag at all. It looked and tasted more like collard greens that I'd get from a soul food restaurant. I was still able to pick up all of the spinach leafs. Saag is supposed to be creamy! The mango lassi might've been the most disappointing. It was hardly sweet and it had a sour after taste as if lemon was added to it. Overall, nothing tasted fresh and everything lacked authentic Indian spice and texture. But I guess it's to be expected when Hispanics are cooking the food. Not to bring race into it but this restaurant needs an Indian chef. At least one. And the chefs should start wearing gloves. It's kind of unsanitary to be cooking with your bare hands. Especially nowadays.
Great food, fast and friendly service, amazing value. I had the lunch special grilled chicken. It was perfectly cooked and their sauces complimented all the flavors very well. I will definitely come back for more another day soon.
Good chicken. Good kabob plate. Lamb curry decent but small portion
The food was awful. The worst Indian food I had so far.
Really good food. Loved their seekh and botti kabab. And the salad that comes with the kabab was really unique and tasty. Also loved the chicken biryani and raita. Price is reasonable and their service is excellent. We Will definitely come back ?
Really amazing food! We loved their nihari, biryani, and all the curries we ordered.
