My mom went to get some food yesterday I wasn't with her so I don't know about the staffs customer service, she ordered 3, dinners 2 meatloaf and a short ribs dinner. 2 of the dinners sides were greens and yams and 1 was yams and rice. We thought rice always comes with meatloaf but i guess not its considered a side. The greens were ok I have some left over I need to cook them a little more. The yams were ok just not enough either vanilla and or nutmeg. The meat portions are good I guess, 1 big piece of meatloaf and 1 short rib.

Every time I go to Chef M’s I am truly satisfied. I travel over 30 miles on the weekend to get enough food for a few days. They never disappoint. My go to food is smothered pork chops, rice, greens and okra, corn and tomatoes. Sometimes I bring home a few pieces of fried catfish and a couple of pieces of baked salmon. I truly appreciate Chef Marilyn’s!
I had set up my day decided to eat very healthy like a little bird… until hunger struck!! I found this place which I have never been to before & ran before they closed. I started off w/ some sweet potatoes then moved on to some ham hocks fried chicken &of course ox tails! W/ each single bite I had to close my eyes & just enjoy the blessings that God has provided!! Amen!!! I do have to admit that the ox tails were just a pinch too tough & had an excessive amount of salt. I will go home & fix them but they will not go to waste. Trust that!! I will be back!! This place was top notch!!!
The kitchen workwrs do not wear masks. They emerge from the kitchen to restock food engaging in questionable behaviors like talking over the food. It is utterly disrespectful to customers and unsanitary. This was my second visit in 17 years. Nothing has changed.
Green's bitter, turkey meatloaf was good. Mac&Cheese was ok. I can tell the food wasn't cooked by someone who knows Soul Food!

(2) Macaroni NO SEASONING (no butter) no salt-nothing just cheese and pasta. BAD; (3) Sweet Potatoes (STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAN- no seasoning! butter, vanilla,little sugar or nutmeg . HORRIBLE!I bought food Saturday Oct. 30, 2021 it was good that's why I came backMexicans CANNOT COOK OUR FOOD!IT takes southern people to cook our food.TUESDAY WAS JUST BADyoung lady working register and serving food without changing gloves; patrons waiting in hot sun over 45 minutes!NAW! Mexicans we need them but can barely cook their own food cause they ain't clean.I Hope you get this msg. because it was some Alabama visitors behind me and I know they were disappointed for being yelled at to get out when a door dash driver came in and they asked for a new tray of macaroni and was denied.INCONSISTENT COOKS!I know I'm not coming and it's no excuse!What you need to do is have the non cooks RENOVATE THE INSIDE OF YOUR LITTLE SERVICE AREA and make it cute and clean! Also have the non cooks UPDATE YOUR OUTDATED AND OBSOLETE MISLEADING FALSE ADVERTISING 3 MENUS YOU HAVE ONLINE!!!!!!
Chef Marilyn has decent soul food but her staff are rude and hostile.
I got the oxtails with sweet potatoes and collard greens the greens tasted a little burnt but other than that the oxtails were off the chain
