I had my first visit yesterday on July 4th, 2022. I heard some good things and read a few good reviews, but I'm not going to be able to give my first visit a good review. I should have left after seeing the prices but I wanted give them the benefit of the doubt plus I did want to try it and I was treating someone else to a meal. I ordered (2) 2 meat combos. Each meal came with 2 beef ribs that was more bone than meat and 4 small pork ribs. They weren't as tender as I was expecting them to be. Plus an order of mac and cheese with each meal. It was okay but felt there was too much garlic. 2 slices of white bread came with each meal. My total was $57.62 I should have walked out before paying that ridiculous price. My bad. This is why I like cooking at home much better.
No dine in only order to go, foods are good tasty and each sandwich has 2 small appetizers with soda, take orders with ease and pleasantly be served.
The building looks run down but that is part of the charm. It is obvious that they put all their effort into the FOOD. I got the rib tips, mac and cheese, and baked beans. I was worried when I saw that the tips were covered in BBQ sauce as I hate sweet BBQ sauce, but it was an amazing sauce full of flavor and just a hint of sweetness. The tips were charred perfectly and fell off the bone. The mac and cheese was amazing and may have been the best thing there! I generally don't like baked beans but they recommended them so I didn't have high expectations, but they weren't too sweet and were tasty.
A very pleasant surprise was not expecting the food to be as good as it was .Ribs are tender the sauce was Dynamite! my wife really loves the sauce, the greens are decent. We will be going back to try the other dishes.
I ordered a two meat combo. Ribs and links with mixed sauce. My sides were potato salad and beans. The ribs are amazing. Fresh off the grill. I like Pete links but these were ok. Beans had a good flavor to them. I'm particular about my potato salad so next time I will try a different side. Customers service is A ➕️ banana pudding needs more vanilla wafers but the taste was good and it hit the spot. All-n-All "I Tried It" and I will return.
Great sauce, great service. Mediocre meat quality. Today I JUST went for lunch. The potato salad they offered as a side is COMPLETELY FROZEN.??? Such a rude careless thing to do. I can't eat it. I'm looking for a spot to post a picture of it here.
Baby let me tell you, outside of my daddys BBQ this spot has the best BBQ i've had! The service was amazing and both ladies made us feel so welcome and at home. I ordered the two meat plate and I was eating off that food all day(they are not stingy with their food at all) I wish i was able to stop by before I left town but I guarantee it will be my first stop as soon as I land.
Down home vibe. Friendly service. Good food. The best pulled pork sandwich I ever had. Great barbeque chicken also. Worth the prices!
