Wow! So many positive things to say about this place! Went here on lunch after reading up about the entire menu being gluten free (except the sandwich bread), and was blown away by the owner and the incredible food! He was excited to see me when I arrived, asked if I’d been there before, and when I told him it was my first time, he loaded me up with some extra things to try - thanks, now I will HAVE to come back many many times for these incredible flavors! ?Only thing I regret is not spending more time with him and being in such a hurry over illegally parking out front. If you haven’t been here, you need to race over and immerse in the spot on Hawaiian flavors typical of island culture. You will not regret it!

This place, and its owner, are AMAZING! We each got a spam musubi and split the beef lunch plate and, let me tell you, it all tasted so fresh and next level incredible. Flavors and textures off the charts. The owner is super kind and you can tell how much love goes into the dishes. Great portion sizes too for the value. Will definitely be back.

Food was amazinggggg!! Went back and ordered extras because it was that good. Have strong regrets that we only tried this on our last day in LA but it was absolutely worth the 20 mins walk we took. Everything we ordered (even the 'basic' avocado toast) was so delicious!Tim is also one of the sweetest, most hospitable and humble person we have met in LA. The passion he exudes when sharing about his food (and love for his cat haha) is admirable and contagious. Personally bringing our food to us, explaining the menu and giving recommendations etc. We will definitely revisit this again when we are back in LA!

Tim exudes Hawaiian hospitality, with his warm and approachable greeting, and his breezy friendly attitude, as he walked us through the menu. Oh, I'm supposed to be rating the food right?I got the shrimp plate, which comes with shrimp, macaroni salad, and purple rice. Tim mentioned that he typically eats the shrimp, shell and all, but that some people may not like this and that you can peel it if you'd like. I opted for the shell and all, and it was crispy and easily chewable. Was it garlicky enough? Let's just say I had to go to a networking event after, and chewed a couple sticks of gum, and still felt my breath would deter any unfortunate soul who needed to lean in to hear me say my name.Although I found the shrimp slightly too salty, this was balanced pretty well with the macaroni salad, and the purple rice, which was my favorite of the 3. The furikake seasoning tasted of salted egg yolk with hints of sweetness. I might just buy an extra helping of rice next time!

So bomb! Everything is made fresh and seasoned to perfection. I’ve had the chicken and beef. Excited to try the shrimp next. Also, that cucumber ? kimchi is fire ? I also really love the spam musubi ? which I took home and plated with Lee’s special hot sauce.

Ohmagah. Cnt spk proprly coz mouf brokn ?. Shiiiiiiii everything here was so bomb. I’m usually a little more critical of Korean-fusion foods (in this case, some Hawaiian-Korean), but I was throwing myself at every dish here. The flavors are all so strong and come together beautifully. You can literally order anything off the menu and can’t go wrong.

Grabbed the spam musubi and steak plate, both were great!! Everyone was nice and I loved the sauce that goes with the plate. Just an FYI, you gotta find street parking if you’re coming here but it’s worth it!

If I could commit a crime and be locked away in Broken Mouth jail, I would without hesitation. My final meal would be any of the plates, but beef and shrimp are particularly phenomenal. Not only are the flavors outrageous, the service may somehow trump the Hawaiian fare. The owner often recalls if you’ve visited before, and I’ve never NOT walked away with a thoughtful gesture like an extra drink on the house. On my last trip I was even given a complimentary spam roll to try. As long as BM stands, I will gladly serve as patron in perpetuity.

Very delicious home flavors. Ordered the shrimp lunch plate, spam musubi, and cucumber kimchi. The food was all well seasoned and everything on my plate balanced each other. Great for a light lunch

I drive all the way from Buena Park, Orange County just for fried Oreos and Dui fries with chili. I stood in line for about 30/40 mins. I've also tried the corn in the cup which was pretty tasty. They have Pretty dope decor an old school music to listen to while you sit an eat.
