Bridgetown Roti is the only restaurant representing Trinidad and Barbados in Los Angeles. Menu is a little bit expensive but you got quality and flavorful food with fresh ingredients. Everything is homemade from the wraps to the sauces. I was very scared to eat here since everything looked spicy in the menu but I asked less spicy as possible and it was a wonderful pleasure to know my comment was listened. It is definitely a place and a cuisine to taste. Also this place was mentioned in a magazine.

I made an order for over $30 but when I went to leave, my car wouldn’t start. I gave them a call and they refunded me the money even though they had already cooked the food. The really just earned me as a customer.

The apartments across the street have too many bike racks. They also put my mom’s name on the order? Which is cool. I like my mom.

This place is fantastic! The Goat roti is incredible and everything down to the tomatillo salsa is packed with flavor and balance. We also had the shrimp Patties and sweet + spicy plantains. Both were awesome and textures we cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

This was amazing! We had the goat, chicken and pumpkin rotis and a bunch of the patties (the mango + oxtail ones were faves!) - everything tasted unique and awesome. Also highly recommend lime tomatillo sauce. Highly recommend!

GREAT FOOD + INTRIGUEWe've all seen movies of speakeasy patrons saying a secret word at an unmarked door in an alley to get in for some booze.Getting food here was a similar experience. There's no marker or sign on the wall or the door, just the number and no windows. (There is a sign on a stand on the sidewalk). So it felt like I was getting food from a secret place. And they're only open limited days and limited hours.The best way to order is online at their website so they'll have the order ready at a specified time. When you arrive you call them and they bring out your meal.Now that we have the logistics out of the way, how was the food?I had a fresh cucumber salad. It tasted more like cucumbers than cucumbers. Somehow the combination of spices intensified the cucumbery flavor. Amazing!I also ordered the pumpkin, cauliflower bowl. What a wonderful combination of flavors and textures topped with some fresh cabbage. It's served with one large roti. (unleavened flatbread)I ordered two of their sauces on the side, both were full of complex flavors but a little too spicy for my sensitive digestive system.Overall wonderful!

Everything here is so good. Like wow, incredibly good. Chicken roti, dope. Cucumber salad, dope. Pear soda, wonderful. Mac and cheese pie, great. Fish balls, amazing.

The food is great, but the Chef, is even more amazing! I briefly met Chef Rashida Holmes at #TheFamilyReunion food and wine event. After her panel discussion, I asked for a photo with the awesome panelists. They all were so generous with their time, but my interaction with Chef Rashida really stood out for me. Instead of waiting for me to leave, she asked for someone to take a picture for her and included me. This may seem small, but for me, it truly embodied the essence of the entire event, INCLUSION. Everything is absolute perfection. I was ecstatic when I opened up the crinkly, bright yellow paper encasing my pattie and took the first bite. SO. MUCH. FLAVOR! It's refreshing to eat authentic cuisine that is unapologetic with seasoning and spices (gimme a little heat!)Rashida (the chef/owner) is just delightful and when you talk to her, you feel cared about - an artist who truly puts her heart into her craft. This is food made with ancestral wisdom and a lot of love.If you haven't tried it, you need to find out what you're missing, ASAP. If you have tried it, well, you know exactly what I'm talking about, and wherever they're serving, you can bet I'll be there.
