Food here is incredible! Not a huge fan of the new ordering system just through the website without interacting with the waiter, but the food quality and flavors are totally worth it. Highly recommended!!
Food was very good ? Atmosphere very comfortable ? However, 4/5 ⭐️s because the ordering system was very impersonal. You order online from your table, food is dropped off, not too much interaction with servers. No physical menu. Not my favorite system.Indoor and outdoor seating available ?
This place was just okay. I’ve been wanting to come for years now and I was a little disappointed. The chilaquiles were more like chicken nachos. The French toast was cold and pretty bland. The strawberry lemonade with mint (not pictured) was probably my favorite thing. Does not live up to the hype.
First time here and WOW is the food good! This place has tons of good reviews and I see why! This is definitely a place to try while in LA.First-The location is right off melrose ave. There’s parking but not a lot. Gotta find spots on the side streets. They have decent outdoor and indoor seating. A lot of takeout as well. I suggest adding yourself to the waitlist through yelp to get ahead of long waits. They do service a little different than traditional. Once you sit you can either order your food through the QR code or walk up to the register and order that way, than they bring everything to you. It’s got a really nice vibe and it’s cozy!Second-The food is phenomenal. There is a lot of things I want to try. But no matter where I go for breakfast or brunch I have to try eggs Benedict and this was a top 5 easily. The sauce was perfect, eggs were perfect everything about it was perfect. The potatoes were the best part though. They were so good! Had to try the blueberry jam and it was good. But not out of this world. My fiancé got the breakfast quesadilla and it was HUGE! The portions are healthy here. The coffee was okay. But still good. Overall this place meets its reviews and i HIGHLY recommend trying it!
Classic brunch spot on Melrose. Lines are long but it’s well worth it. Corn flake French toast is legendary and the coffee is good.
This place is def worth it. Enjoyed the lemon mint water that's something you don't see everyday and the food were amazing. I will def be going back when ever I'm in LA.
First time trying this LA-famous breakfast spot and was not disappointed! The strawberry mint lemonade was good, but it was more strawberry and lacking the mint flavor. I got the Morning Hash plate and this thing is a delicious & filling monster and can definitely feed two people! They have a Yelp check in to get in line. It took us about 20 mins to wait for a table on Saturday at noon.
I visited Blu Jam’s Melrose location early December 2021. Twas quaint and the service was fine. The orders were placed online via a provided QR code, which could be more user-friendly for order specifications. I ordered the crunchy french toast and my only frustration came from the chef foregoing maple syrup for a crème. I’ve never been to a breakfast/brunch restaurant that didn’t serve syrup or have it as an option. Apparently the chef wanted more people to indulge in the crème, so they stopped serving maple syrup altogether. Terrible decision since the crème isn’t sweet at all and tastes like milk. Unfortunately, it was a waste of a meal. There was nothing else enticing on the menu, so that’s most likely my first and last visit. Our server was very nice though!
It was my first time at a restaurant where you can order from your phone. It was an easy and very straightforward experience. Loved it!The food we ordered was good, too.My friend got Shakshuka and I had Norwegian Eggs Benedict, and latte. Everything tasted good. Shakshuka had a nice spicy kick to it and my eggs were perfectly poached. I liked how the potatoes were cut, too.
Upon being seated, female staff member came to table to explain how to order by QR code The time spent explaining might have been shorter is she’d taken out order. At some point, I commented, “I reckon, they’re waiting for the chicken(s) to lay the eggs.” Food arrived cold. Yet, the man w/our breakfast said, “Be careful! The plates are very hot.”. Hot—they were not. Ravenous, we began eating out Eggs Benedict (2 of 3 options) with (hollandaise-on menu) -yellowish stuff. Taste of cheese flavored single-slices over eggs that were poached well.?♂️
