Always so good, always fresh and always the best. I've stopped with co-workers and I always enjoy their chicken tacos with salsa and chipotle dressing. Something about them is just deliciousness! Their red velvet cake is always on point as well! It's my fave. What can I say about their iced coffee? It's got a homemade like flavor. You gotta try Bird's nest. ?
Easily one of the most delicious burgers that I’ve had. Perfectly cooked and topped off with a fried egg. Fries were so crispy. Enjoyed my visit here very much
Ordered breakfast, bacon, egg, cheese and avocado, and was initially told 30 min, but it was much faster, so plan for a little time here. The food was very good. I’d eat here again.Life is Good!!!
Clean establishment and kind staff. However I was more focus on the food which is pretty basic when it comes to the flavor. My mouth didn't felt that excitement of good food. Not sure what's the hype. I rather cook my own breakfast that coming back here.
Food was delicious! Which is why I am leaving a rating of 2 stars! But to me the most important aspect of a business is when all the staff are able to provide an excellent customer service with the pleasure of serving everyone that comes across this establishment. From the very beginning, I had high expectations for such a self regarded restaurant that many people of the Los Angeles Area And USC area have spoken so highly about.Unfortunately from the moment I stepped into the line to order my food, the cashier allowed another person to go ahead before me. I would like to think that the cashier was able to see me because I came up to the register and started looking at the menu up above. At that moment after the person I’m front of me was able to cut me in line, Uwe decided to take my order in such a rude and disrespectful manner that it made me feel as if I was the problem to their day. After clearly explaining to Uwe what exactly it was that I wanted, He proceeded to give me attitude and tell me “is that all!” after every thing I ordered.I don’t tend to write bad reports about customer service but this attitude and level of disrespect made me think that it wasn’t a good idea to come check this place out. If I had to enjoy Birds Nest Cafe again, unfortunately I wouldn’t feel comfortable coming into the restaurant in person again, I might still decide to order food through grub hub or Uber eats, but won’t be able to vouch as a place to enjoy a good time with friends and family.
It’s very clean place, staff it’s nice and very friendly, we order classic plate, bail-out and omelets snatched, all was delicious
Consistently tasty breakfast spot. Recently started going back after the pandemic and still really like this place, despite the changes they've had to make. The great tea service has changed to a to go cup, but still very tasty offerings. The bakery/pastry case never disappoints, and the food from the kitchen is always tasty. Prices seem high but the portions and overall quality really make it worth it.
Omelets are okay or good i like the salads come with it.Breakfast burrito wasnt good. That was heavy. But we might be back here they have a variety of food so we can try different menu.
This is the best brunch and lunch spot in North Beach and nearby environs. The food is great and the service is even better. Bird's often has big band music on the speakers and local art on the walls that make for a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The prices are reasonable as well. My favorite is the Mexican omelette, but I've sampled other dishes as well and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend.
1. Crab cakes benedict: Wonderful. The eggs were poached perfectly and the crab cakes were really good. Nice sized portion.2. Biscuits and Gravy: Eh. My biggest complaint was - they didn't use real biscuits. Instead, they used sourdough bread(?). The gravy was tasty however. I wouldn't recommend getting this...The servers were extremely friendly, the food came out fast and the crab cakes were about $10 cheaper that other places. I'm glad I found this place. I'd recommend!
