Our server Sam gave us recommendations for an appetizer and two entrees to share for a late lunch. A home run for sure. Very flavorful dishes, all vegan. Even a carnivore, omnivore, pescatarian and vegetarian will enjoy this restaurant. Service was great and so was the atmosphere.
We honestly thought they served us real shrimp, gosh, the texture is so alike!!!! The sue mai is new on the menu, but makes you think why not all dim sum everywhere is simply vegan and the lemongrass soy fish was crazy real too. Did miss the lemon grass. What a restaurant! We usually don't go for meat or fish replacements, cooking is easier, cheaper and often more delicious without, but trying Au Lac is an experience you shouldn't miss. Also take the dessert, we had the chocolate xtc and it was heavenly, but not heavy at all. All yummyness, definitely recommend!
Best of the best! We absolutely loved this restaurant menu, taste, service and ambience. The plates offered here are absolutely unique and delicious. We loved the octopus dish, it’s full of different textures and flavors plus it is gigantic for a great prize. The mushroom tea was great, a bit sweet but also robust. We asked for more water while it’s midway so we extended the pleasure for the same price lol. The spring rolls were fine, big but nothing special. On the other hand, BEST SHRIMP EVER! It has the texture and taste of the best quality shrimp we have ever had, that really hooked us up.
Great vegan place with some of the best options.Everything on their menu tastes great and they were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions.
Wonderful place with absolutely amazing vegan food!?? Creative food presentation; great flavor combinations; generous portions; cool ambience. Special thanks to mega friendly staff! Our new favorite vegan place in DTLA.
This place is amazing! Let's get into it, okay! Most important, Food: Absolutely amazing. I have shopped around for good vegan food, especially in a restaurant and I have hit the jackpot! I literally tried 1 of everything and was super happy. Even the desserts was the bomb- dignity! Flavor=amazing, Texture=perfect, Presentation=Top Shelf.Service- Outstanding. I want to give coodles/props to Nasha, Sam, Ana ! Thank you for making the experience even better. They were kind, on top of it, and familiar with the menu. Gold stars for you all!Restaurant-the ambiance is A1! It was open, clean, and had good tunes. I highly recommend to plant-based and non plant based eaters! I'm definitely coming back!
This's unbelievable investment is so profitable and real with ( Mrs Kimberly Louis ) an expert online trader, i red some reviews about his good works in trading and i decided to give it a try which came out great, with an investment of $1,500 and a cash out of $ 18,500 just for seven working days. I recommend her to you out there looking for serious business minded trader..
inspiring food. we are going to try to cook macademia nut curry. its cool that the pho has clove and anise in it. the mushroom calamari is breaded in tapioca flour. cool ideas, vegan food is always innovative, here its also smart and cool
Came for a Sunday lunch. Couldn't figure out how to reschedule online when we had to push our reservation by an hour and a half but honestly wasn't needed. Wait staff didn't mention it and was friendly and polite.Had not seen some of the vegan offerings at other places (we were visiting from SF where there are a lot of options). Had vegan shrimp previously but theirs were quite different. Some sort of gnocchi with a crispy exterior and flavored to taste like shrimp (we thought maybe iron?).Also had the Bbq pork rolls that were like a spring roll and served with a peanut sauce (or so it seemed but we don't have allergies). For mains had the Mushroom "calamari" and "Pork" chop. Both of which were as good if not better than the real thing and I'm not even Vegan. 5 out of 5. Would go back to try the rest of the menu if in town again and staying in the DTLA area.
OMG Delicious
