Coffee & Tea Shaved Ice
(213) 568-3657

Small cafe with coffee/tea and shaved ice. Came here after dinner at Songhak right across the street, and ready enjoyed the shaved ice. You order at the counter and then they’ll bring your items to the side once ready. Credit cards accepted. Indoor dining only (no outdoor options). There was one big group when we went, but most of the other patrons seemed to come in pairs. Street parking. The matcha shaved ice wasn’t too sweet, and was super creamy. I really liked whatever cream they put on top as well. It came with some red bean paste on the side, which was more sweet than I was expecting (in a good way) and not lumpy at all. It was a good portion size for two people.

These servings are HUGE. I wish we had looked a little closer to photos to see how big the servings are. We definitely didn’t need 2 shaved ices and an order of taiyaki. However it was so good we tried to eat it all!The strawberry was great for someone who this might be out of their comfort zone already, but the black sesame was for an adventurous eater!

Deliciousssss !!!A cute cafe in Koreatown. Plenty of indoor seating with high top/bar style tables and stools lining the windows.Strawberry shaved iceI really liked the portion of the shaved ice here. It was the perfect amount to share between 2 people. The ice is flaky and creamy, we didn't even need to pour the condensed milk. It was perfectly sweet as is.Taiyaki - 4 pieces for $8Flavors available: red bean, custard, Nutella & banana (& maybe a 4th flavor? But I forget)We really wanted the custard but they were out so we got half red bean and half Nutella & banana.Guys... this is the best taiyaki I've ever had. The outside is so crisp and the inside was almost a mochi texture!! The banana aroma and taste permeates the entire fish even before you get to the filling. Hahah. It was a beautiful experience.I'll have to come back for the custard!

A wonderful Korean desert experience!Bingsoo and boong-a-pangs are its flagship items here. Boong-a-pang is an old school street food reinterpreted with toppings like Nutella, bananas and red beans with a crispy battered. A definite must desert after kbbq!My personal favorite is the bingsoo - Korean shaved ice - with all kinds of different toppings. A must try is the Misoo-garu bingsoo - it is refreshing with a nutty powdery kick.Definitely check out Anko next time you're in Ktown.

I think Anko has very good bingsu (I tried the sesame flavor) and they have the best Taiyaki. My favorite is the cheese filling… so good! Highly recommended!

Delicious taiyaki (Nutella + banana & custard) & really good chocolate-raspberry cake! Cake isn't as overwhelmingly sweet as most desserts in the US - just perfect! The interior & subtle jazz create a very pleasant atmosphere to spend time in on a gloomy day

I enjoy Anko Yuzu Drink which is really Refreshing. My mom always get the Mango Shaved Ice which is creamy, fruity, and good. So this is a good place for only Summer for a nice shaved ice dessert.

Out of this world shaved ice. Want to try every flavor.Drinks are amazing too!

IMO Anko is the middle child among the Ktown bingsoo siblings. Everyone knows about Sul&Bean and Oakobing, but I bet you 5/10 people in Ktown don't even know Anko existed. If you're one of these people who've never visited Anko, now's your chance. I'd been here multiple times, and while their bingsoo's are a bit pricey it's definitely very delicious.During my most recent visit, my girlfriend and I decided to get their taiyaki and yuzu tea since the weather was chilly and oh my goodness, this hit the spot.Their red bean taiyaki and custard taiyaki was much better than the ones you get at Somi Somi. Each is STUFFED with fillings and the bread is so crispy and hot. If you're not in the mood for bingsoo I would definitely recommend trying out their taiyaki. They have valet parking but I would try looking for street parking or even parking at California market if you're okay with walking a block.

Look for: Nothing special here.Location: A parking nightmareService: MehGot 4 overstuffed floppingly frustrating to eat taiyaki. Sorry, I take my taiyaki very seriously, especially since I don't like my local taiyaki business, but I'll have to continue going because Anko didn't cut it.
