Andre’s is a typical Italian dinner located right across the street from the LA public market. The food is good, however, it is sort of tray-style (seats there in trays and servers put it in your plate as you order). Other than the fact that might not be the best in terms of freshness, the taste is good and portions are HUGE for the value. The area is shady, but we felt safe and happy to enjoy good food and an amazing desert!
Two thumbs up forever! Andre’s one of my favourite hidden spots when I am in Los Angeles.
I've been going to Andre's for over 10 years and quality and quantity has not changed! Prices are good and food is always delicious. I would suggest to come before lunch time as it gets really packed and you'll be standing outside in line for a while.A must get are their spaghetti, garlic bread and gelato/sorbet!
I'm giving this restaurant only One star because I didn't like the meat pasta! The noodles were super hard!! And the bread wasn't good either. I tried this restaurant for the Second time and both times have disappointed me!! The women workers were very kind though! But aside from that... That's about it. I won't be back again. It's unfortunate because I LOVE pasta/spaghetti!! But I'll just have to make it myself or buy elsewhere.
Spaghetti is the main reason we eat here. Love all the rest of the food too. Even when the line is long service is quick. Andre's has lots of seating. Good place to go in for a relaxing meal.
Great spaghetti place! They have other italian dishes as well. Check it out if you like Italian food ?
Google’s description of the place as “venerable” is such an apt description. This place feels like such a beloved, established part of the city, that you can’t grade it based off the normal metrics for restaurants. The staff workers, the decorations, the assembly-line style of food, and not to mention the astonishingly affordable prices—it all adds up to this amazing experience. The food itself ain’t some fancy, date-night Italian cuisine, but that’s not the point.
Definitely feels like an odd hole in the wall, but the food was really good. Definitely make sure you remember cash. The prices aren't bad, especially for what you get, but you won't get anything without cash.
The food is good for the price but the guy at the register is rude and doesn't hear well. He asked for vaccination card even if dining outside. This place would feel better if it had the ambient it used to have when it first opened but times have changed and so has the staff.
Loved everytime for their lovely food. Went for pick up today and this Hispanic or Latino cashier deliberately ignored me even though he saw me first and approached to "hispanic" first. Total discrimination. Told him later after he took order from the Hispanic lady that I am here for pick up and he was like "come in line first," which was I was in front of line first and this Hispanic lady created second line despite of me being their first. Worst customer service. I Will not go their again.
