This is the best Indian experience I've ever had! Socrates was the best waiter I've had in years and is absolutely HILARIOUS!The owner is also fabulously gracious and everything about this place is generous.

fabulous food and owner was great and very friendly-good humored...great music too.

Ordered Indian food for an event for catering. The delivery was very smooth, the owner called ahead of time to ask for spicy levels and to confirm the delivery. The food arrived a little early, we had plenty of time to set up and carry everything. The food itself was very tasty and all the guests really enjoyed it! Great experience.

Might I say the service here was spectacular. I really appreciate my friend Jerome for sharing this restaurant with me. I have met the owner twice and he remembers who I am. The food is amazing and I certainly look forward to coming back for more great food!

This place is a joke. These reviews are fake. They give you free food/dessert to customers for good reviews.I called them for to-go, and I kindly asked them if "butter chicken was a popular dish." The guy who received my call literally replies, "We are really busy right now. If you do not know what to order, go look at the menu and call us back" and just hangs up on me. So rude I was in shock. I cannot even ask which food is popular here? I wish I can find out his name so I can speak with the manager to fire his incompetent and rude attitude.I ordered few times here, and they gave me free desserts and drinks to write good reviews here. I am glad I did not. This place is trash.Never ordering from this place ever again.I am gonna let everyone know how rude this place is.

What an amazing restaurant!!!! You walk in the front door and you can already tell you're in the right place. There is cozy, private booth-style seating with beautiful, elaborate carved wood panels as barriers between each booth. Our waiter was so friendly and made us feel right at home. The owner also came over and checked in on us to make sure everything was good. Got samosas and fried onion balls to start and they came with 3 different types of chutney (all delicious). I got the lamb vindaloo and it was perfectly spicy and flavorful. The sauce was a great balance of thick and creamy while still being able to absorb into the rice (we've all been to those other places where the sauce is too watery, but this place was just the right consistency). The lamb was so juicy and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They even gave us a gift card and free dessert at the end! Such a wonderful experience. If I lived in the neighborhood I would be here every week.

Best Indian food in Los Angeles!! Perfect for a date night! The food is full of flavor. The lamb tikka masala is so good. The naan is fresh! Relaxing music, very clean, and dim sexy lights!

TL;DR: Great service with good food. Can't go wrong here.I ordered Curried Mussels, Masala Fries, Onion Bhaji, Buffalo Wings, Chicken Korma, Lamb Korma, Chicken Biryani, Beef Jalfrezi, and Butter Naan. The Onion Bhaji was pretty standard pakora. Onion battered and fried and served as a small ball so as to eat with your hands. Not bad but not anything crazy good either. The Masala Fries were very interesting. They are thin fries fried to completion and covered in Butter Chicken Masala. They were surprisingly really good but I felt as though they didn't give enough of the masala. Towards the end, I was just eating normal fries. I still recommend getting this appetizer but ask for extra sauce on the fries and you will not be disappointed. The Buffalo Wings, in my opinion was the weakest item on the menu. The wings were your standard deep fried wings with hot sauce. Not terrible, but for the type of restaurant it is, I expected something a bit different than normal for this one.The Korma dishes were very good. Korma by nature is a very sweet dish so I recommend getting it a bit spicier than usual to make it really shine. I highly recommend this dish. The Chicken Biryani was good but definitely tasted a bit dryer than I expected. It's definitely not bad, just could have been better.Honestly the reason why I give this place a 5/5 instead of a 4/5 is the staff. The people running the place are genuinely nice. Our waiter even gave us a free extra order of Onion Bhaji even though we didn't ask for it because he said our party was too big for just one. If you're craving some Indian food I say give this place a go.

Incredible place, best Indian food in Los Angeles! Please go and support them in the pandemic. If this place goes down, which I sincerely hope it won’t, LA will be all the poorer for it.Would HIGHLY recommend the korma, vindaloo, mango kulfi, but everything is good :) And the decor is PERFECT for a special night out. Always puts me in a good mood.Special shout-out to Socrates! What a gem of a person. I find it hard to believe anyone can leave here dissatisfied :)

I love Anarkali sooo much!! I’ve been coming here for probably eight years and everything I’ve ever had is so good! The food is perfect, made with love, and the vibes are so beautiful. Great spot for a date! Come and support this family owned business!!
