Ever wanted to watch a movie and just be catered to while you sit comfortably while enjoying the show? Well, I found the perfect place ALAMO at the Bloc Fun, fun, fun, movies, drinks, food and free video games! Food and drinks catered to you while watching the movie. What can be better than that. Come and join the great atmosphere where all are welcomed to have a great time. I did, and you won't want to leave.
This place is awesome, the decor is very cool.. The bar in the lobby is really nice, bartender there was nice and knowledgeable about their beer.They play international/independent movies, that's a plus on this place!The whole dining movie experience here is awesome.Movie rooms had really comfy seat and the service was fast and everything was delicious, we had a hamburger with fries and nachos. The drinks were delicious tooI found a new favorite spot!Definitely coming back!??
This was such a fun experience and the staff was friendly and on point with their service. I will definitely be going here more and enjoying all the deals and movies too. Plus it’s cool to have a place that plays a lot of throwback movies too.The food was solid and the drinks were good. Seats were comfy and they recline too.Perfect way to watch top gun
I love the Alamo. When we lived in Colorado they were my favorite theater and I was SO glad to hear there is one in LA. It's out of the way for us, but worth the drive for a date night or night out. My favorite thing is the no tolerance for talking or texting during the movie. No small kids are allowed during later showings, either. They have so many fun events and even show previews themed to the show before the movie starts. The food is delicious and they have a great selection of items, not just fried, greasy food. The last time we went, we ordered popcorn about halfway through the movie and it didn't come out until 5 minutes before the credits rolled. They comped it for us, but we spent the latter part of the movie wondering what was going on and if they forgot us, which distracted from the movie. I've only otherwise received great service and will return time and time again!
Comfortable reclining leather seats with excellent dine-in food and lots of special event screenings. Special events usually have their own special menu too. Definitely one of the best theaters in LA.

Genuinely liked Alamo Drafthouse because of the way the service is organized inside the theater. Timely service, timely food, tasty drinks. Comfortable seats. Venue is close to my residence in Downtown L.A. but the Plaza itself has a large visitor parking lot.Management is still checking COVID Vaccination Cards for patron safety. Face masks are optional.
This was by far the worst movie experience I have ever had. RUINED OUR DATE Night. And Honestly I would like a refund.Hipster Therater that lives up to Be One of LA's worst Theaters. Horrible User Experience.From Parking to Closing Out this is never a Place I will tell my friends about.Having to write a note in the dark articulating how their staff gave me multiple incorrect items during my movie was a tragedy. Would anyone volunteer the task of navigating getting an order or a check corrected during a movie premiere in the Dark?Having things you didn't order appear. Then disappear. Getting a note of violation for using your phone as a very ultra dim light (my phone is on Monochrome emitting almost no light) because you were signing a check or perhaps because I laughed while watching the movie.Layout of theater was horrendous when thinking of basic needs. There is one hall of restrooms. At the end so if you drink anything while watching a movie you'll have to walk a mile to get to their bathroom area.Will update review later. I will at this time like to express that this Establishment needs to do Better .
Best theater in LA. Have been going to this theater since it opened and i love it. It not overly crowded and the movie halls are small. They have a strict no talking policy. The aesthetics of the theater it self is so retro, its an experience on its own. Reclining chairs, unlimited refills on soda and popcorn, you cant go wrong. And you can have dinner and drinks if you want to. Highly recommend!
Look, if you’re gonna spend $18+ to see a movie, this is the place to do it. The place and the staff have great energy, the food is tasty (but EXPENSIVE - this place has to pay for itself somehow), the liquor selection is solid, they validate parking… This is a good theater! If you have to spend more than $13 to see a movie, go here! Only four stars instead of five because this is NOT a theater for the working man, and I am a poor.
