Went for MitiS and will go again for Trivecta next week. Headliner came on at 12:30am and played till a little past 2am. The club opens at 10am and closes at 3am I believe. We arrived around midnight and there was no line to get in. We parked to the left of the club; it was $20 and super close and convenient. This is one of the best clubs I’ve been to. Here’s the breakdown:Pros: The screens and lights. Amazing. The screens go across the sides and ceiling, making for a completely immersive visual experience combined with the high quality colored lights shining down. It gives an almost 3D view of the visuals when standing in the back. There is also pretty powerful aircon in the back of the venue, so you can stand under it to cool down easily. My bf and I never overheated, as we stayed under it for the most part. Unsure about how it is at the front of the venue. The sound was also really good, and it reverberated through the floor too so I could really feel it. (Make sure to wear ear protection!)Cons: How crowded it gets. I don’t know how many tickets they’re selling but it’s definitely too many. My bf and I stood in the back to watch the show and we were still jostled a bit and almost shoulder to shoulder with people. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like if we were any closer to the front. Luckily there is an outdoor area that’s less crowded and has lower sound volume where you can take a breather if necessary, but that means missing the visuals and live artist. I’d rather the venue be just a bit less crowded so that we could at least have a bit of space standing in the back.Neutral: Despite the crowded venue, security would patrol the perimeter to keep space clear (for the bars and for the path to the patio which was behind the DJ). This allowed for a pretty easy travel experience to and from the outside and around the bar areas despite the crowd. I’d imagine this might come across as pushy to some people, but for my bf and I we just stood a couple paces away from the bar and got to have the positive of the clear back and while not getting pushed around. My bf and I didn’t drink any alcohol (came after drinking a coffee and had enough energy for the set), and had an amazing time! Can’t wait for Trivecta.

This club captures the spirit of EDC in a room. Super friendly staff, great talent, great production and effects. Great time all around!!

Low class staff. The way they treated my friends during the show was unnecessary and inconsiderate . There’s nothing worse than staff with a giant power trip, and please don’t even get me started on the manager. That guy was the worst one of them all. Won’t attend here again, great show though.

Academy LA engages in deceptive business practices. Bartender by the name of "Dina K" has slipped in extra charges onto to my bar tab without me knowing. This is fraud and my only recourse now is file a fraudulent claim with my bank. I will not be returning to this venue nor will I patronize any other Insomniac event ever again.

Super fun venue with top talent. They have both an inside and outside area, which is great. I side has a great screen display which adds another level to the music experience.

Finally a club done well - parking guides, coat check, fast entry both in the door and at the ticket check, lots of fast and adept bartenders, proper but not overbearing security. Lighting, cool air and unobstructed walkways straight to the large patio that also had a bar. Heat lamps would have been nice but in CA that doesn’t matter much since temps are usu high enough at nite. And additional ladies bathroom also would have been nice. Paul Van Dyke rocked the house for hours on end!

I don't think I've ever enjoyed the employees of a club so much. They were really nice and fun. I do wish they would have suggested to stop drinking earlier, i didn't feel well the next day, but that's my own silly fault. The music was amazing, i loved the lighting. Good sized dance floor but not so big to feel less intimate.Great night overall, I'll be back.

Simple venue for its intention. The music was great, sound quality and lights were great, but the venue was very packed shoulder to shoulder for Steve Aoki’s performance. This is to be expected, but it’s very claustrophobic in the room and it gets kinda musty. Also, the drink prices were outrageously expensive. $46 for one drink with two shots in it + a water bottle. So, pregame before you arrive.

Classy, laid-back vibe.Fantastic wine.Good service.Comfy, cozy couches.Tasty, out-of-ordinary, appetizers.Pricey.Decent DJ but hardly anyone dances.

Take your valuables when security checks your bag, otherwise they'll rob you and the manager will tell you "I don't give a fuck" when you try to get your stuff back. Or just avoid this shithole entirely if you want to have a good party
