One of the Best Burgers in Los Angeles. Real handmade patties, perfect ratio of condiments and toppings. Delicious flavor. They've been consistent for at least 15 years. No frills. Just a bulletproof glass ordering window which you can barely see the other side. Reasonable prices. It's kinda in the hood so they close at 6pm. I get the double bacon cheese burger.
Hands down theeeeee best burger stand for the price and taste, for years. Dont foget to patronize the bakery across the street. Cookies while you wait!
I came to A1 burger today 2/7/22And order me to burgers so my total came to 9.11$ ok perfect no problemI gave them my debit card and she said cash only ok cool but where’s the sign to indicate cash only then I only had 9.00$ in my pocket and I couldn’t even slide the .11cent so long story short I Couldn’t get my food
Today they got it right. The food was hot and tasty....like old times ??
A1 used to be the Bomb .... but the last two times I went there the Burgers were (TERRIBLE ) the meat tasted old the buns were greasy the fries was over cooked and as always the soda was flat .... you can tell by the crowd that they don't have half of the customers they used to have... until or unless they go back to the A1 they used to be I will not be coming back ???

Visited A1 Burger for the first time on Saturday late afternoon. I earned this meal after an 18 mile bike ride which included me falling onto the pavement. I needed a beer and a burger. Walked in I was greeted casually by the staff. Everyone was nice. Told them it was my first visit and they recommended "the Original" with steak fries with a Wave on draft. The experience helped patch up my bruised body and ego. The fries alone are crave-worthy!
This restaurant is like the nerdy kid that got hot over summer and is now a thing. I'm fairly sure kirks got a makeover in the last year. Regardless, I am whole heatedly impressed with their decor, food quality, beer selection, specials menu, and condiment bar.
