Beautiful and tasty cakes! Prices are reasonable too. Even close to closing time, they have a large selection of cupcakes left.
The other morning, on channel 5 news, The owner of Susie cakes, brought them some cupcakes and talked about her stores. Everything looks so good so I had to go. So this afternoon I went to the store in Long Beach off of Lakewood Boulevard. The two young girls at the counter were very friendly-professional and made me feel welcome. everything I got was amazing. Definitely going back.
So my sister ordered this cake for our Mom’s birthday (pretty obvious, given my picture) and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a cake that has made me mad until now. Extremely sweet with a cheap chocolate taste and too much frosting. Maybe it’s because we are now more used to the lighter, fluffier Asian cakes from the likes of 85C and Paris Baguette, but this doesn’t even compare to Costco cakes. Even Vons or other grocery cakes are better than this. I don’t know what my sister paid for this cake, but I know it was too much.
I think I’ve found what I’ve been looking for forever, a 6 layer delicious & divine old fashioned chocolate cake! Damn was it good, all that was needed was a cup of milk but this cake is everything you need in a chocolate cake! Soft frosting, delicious layers and not overly sweet, only had a slice and now I want the whole cake…can’t wait to try their other options.

I absolutely loved it!I purchased a carrott cake and it was the best I've ever had. The service was awsome and the prices are great.
Vanilla cake was way to sweet and creamy. barely tasted the cake itself. the birthday boy himself (4 year old) stated it was too sweet too, mind you he loves sugar.lesson learnt!! just hyped for nothing...ended up throwing the entire cake. Maybe, I chose the wrong cake but i sure know am not going back. The cake was expensive for no good reason....
Long Beach is my favorite location. Amber and the other members of the team are absolutely AWESOME! No matter how busy they are, the store is always managed well and makes everyone feel special, like family! No matter where I am, Orange Co or the Westside, I will drive across town to the Long Beach location. ❤️?
So worth the price!! I got the celebration cake and everyone one loved it!! And the staff are so nice. I’m definitely coming back whenever I need a cake.
Bakery is great, particularly the red velvet. Their holidays pies, however, are at best average (we tried pumpkin) and way overpriced.
