Definitely our new go-to sushi!!! Service was so above and beyond friendly and quick, the sushi was delicious and the sushi chefs were so nice, and the drink prices weren’t bad. Highly recommend!!

CAUTION!!! Sushi night out, turned for the worst. Wife and I love sushi, first time here last night. Service was superb, Dinning location was well set. She had mentioned a roll with shrimp tasted like soap, we thought just a twist on taste buds. We stopped eating due to wife not feeling well immediately, shes a lady so she held it down til we arrived home and threw it all up. I decided to write this review at 3am same night with disgust to sushi and shame of what we spent was not worth the night out.I called restaraunt, after arriving home and tending to the disaster wife experienced, to hopefully help others avoid the same experience asking them to make sure their shrimp or something of the 7 items we ordered was in good condition to be used. I understand maybe the lack of staff may have played a part in this, maybe due to pandemic. I only hope they checked, becaused they said manager would return my call and did not hopefully busy correcting said food situation.I write reviews only when experience was awesome and a must, or when trying to save the public from a bad experience. We really wanted to like this place and make it part of our rotation, but this has made the AVOID list for us.

Delicious tempura rolls and friendly service

I ordered the Chicken udon and the sushi dinner plate and both were honestly horrible the fish was so fatty and not fresh at all the udon broth tasted very bad and the noodles were not cooked fully the tempura was just oil when you bit into it and somehow over cooked at the same time the prices are insane this is the first review I’ve ever made and the only reason I’m making one is how bad the food was it made me so bloated having stomach cramps and slightly nauseous I regret spending money there I don’t understand all the good reviews they must’ve gone on a day where they got new fish in

The sushi is absolutely excellent I love going on Wednesdays because that's usually when they get their fresh meats in. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Well not that expensive if you don't drink alcohol.

Incredible service. Unmatched. The first place I go when I return in town is here. Best blue fin, aji, and ju toro. Don't forget the fresh Wasabi!Always trust the sushi chef!

Rolls were good. Service was good. I appreciated how committed they were about food satisfaction because they overcooked a roll by mistake, told me it was on the house and was cooking another one correctly. Dining on the heated patio while watching the Laker game with a tower of beer was definitely a vibe.

This is the best sushi/sashimi on 2nd street. My wife and I had yellowtail, Spanish mackerel, fatty bluefin and Japanese scallop sashimi among others. The sashimi was fresh, and so delicious I didn't use any soy or anything.

Awesome sushi on 2nd St. in the heart of Belmont Shores open until 11 on weekends. Full beer & wine menu with a large selection of (my favorite) cold saki & a ton of house rolls. My favorite cooked roll is the baby lobster crunch & for the cut roll fan the spicy tuna is out of this world fresh with just the right amount of heat. Service is a bit slow but that's due to being short staffed as a result of covid & the wait staff makes up for it by helping eachother out & running food, refilling drinks & bussing tables without worrying whos section it is. It can get pretty loud inside but outside seating is nice & set back enough from the street that you don't feel like you're dining in a street side parking space (even though you are!). Reasonable prices for above average quality is just one reason I recommend this spot & have made it a regular go to when looking for a sushi fix.

The people are great and I love the ambiance. The sushi is average, good but not great.
