Wait staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They were patient and attentive. It was nice not feeling rushed to order. The sushi was fresh and excellent. The tempura abundant and varied. We were very happy with our experience there. They even helped with chopstick aides for the kids. The kids loved it.
So I brought my family here on mother's day. What a great experience. The food was top notch but the service was absolutely perfect. John was our server and he was so intent to make sure everything went correct for my wife's big day. I am a huge stickler for excellent customer service so of coarse the tip and gratitude was great. I always research my restaurants before I chose to visit since we don't go out that much. I strongly advise everyone to try this sushi spot in long beach and try your best to get John as your server. Thanks John!!!!
Favorite sushi spot in Long Beach. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth the cost. I’ve never had a bad piece of fish from this place. Blue fin tuna is delicious!

Found this place on TripAdvisor was NOT disappointed. As soon as we pulled up we saw a quite a few people waiting outside of the random strip mall spot by Target and knew we were in for a treat! We were seated fairly quickly. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was small, but nice and busy! The menu makes it really hard to choose because everything looks and sounds amazing. We decided on a yellowtail jalapeño starter, gyoza and some snow crab sushi. We also had complimentary edamame ? Mains consisted of a Golden Tiger roll, Niko roll and 2 bento boxes. Everything was amazing! Hands down the best sushi spot I’ve ever been to and the price was super reasonable. 10/10 stars, highly recommend, will be back!
Very good rolls. Excellent service and average priced. Not too busy. Food came to table sooner than expected. Good sized portions.

If I could give this place zero stars I would've definitely tapped it 3 times. I put in an order with a request for "no rice" & they completely had it wrong. Did not even read the comment section, told me they can't refund my unwanted order & they can't do anything about. Basically, to take the food home that I don't even want. No accommodation at all. Manager told me to call Yelp & they'll handle it. What a proper restaurant could've done is call the customer & say they can't accommodate. Manager told me they only call if an item is sold out. Who runs this place? No management etiquette & training definitely showed.It's utterly disgusting to rob their customers' money for something they're not satisfied with. I'll never go back to this "Japanese" restaurant. It's a fraud. It's not even authentic. Never heard of a restaurant that refuse to accommodate a $20 order. Only wanted no rice & substitute with crab meat. Is that hard?Total cash grab & was hypothetically told to leave it at that. What a joke.
They have a nice selection of sushi and other Japanese dishes in a variety of combination plates. They also have a nice variety of Japanese beer available. It is a good spot for students, being so close to campus, and I expect it will get a lot of student traffic. The environment as a result is nice.
Work across the street and been coming here for 6 years. Apparently, there's a new owner or manager who has removed items from the bento combo. I asked for a little extra of the cucumbers, my meal.came with none. Was then told that it didn't matter that the server didn't tell.me about the change in the menu. On PRINCIPLE, ILL NEVER BE BACK!! Congrats to the new ownership..you just took a 6 year customer and turned him into a NEVER AGAIN!!
