I am simple when it comes to coffee. I ordered a hot coffee ☕ with almond milk but the real star was the Jalapeno Quiche which was made perfectly, it was soft/ fluffy not rubbery. I had to wait about 10 minutes for it but it was worth it. Sorry I didn't take a picture of it.
desert and coffee good. actual food: NO! flavorless burrito, with nothing but egg. salsa: nasty fr. if i’m not finishing my food in silence and in 5 minutes, you know it’s bad. flavorless chicken… no taste. don’t come here for the food, just coffee and desert. thank you

In fact my rate is zero. I was having a hard time, wanted to treat myself with coffee and pastry “to go”. The girl on the counter dismissed me and told me to get out and make my order online. With attitude and disrespect. Because I had a small dog in my hands. My intention was to make an order keeping my small ! dog in my hands, to wait outside and to go home, not bothering anyone. It was not my first time there, there was no problem before. And this is the only place with such “problem”. Very disappointed and upset.It happened today,May 14th, about 1.40 pm.
A Long Beach staple. Portfolio has been a haven for all locals for decades. The staff are friendly, quick to serve your orders, food is yummy and full of fresh choices, and coffee drinks are top notch. All the special orders can be accomodated and seating is ample and with varied options. I love walking over with my pup, grabbing a coffee with oatmilk and simple syrup and enjoying the 4th Street atmosphere. Thanks Portfolio for years of great times!
We just moved in down the corner and have been here all 3 days we have lived here… the coffee is so rich and flavorful. The egg sandwiches and breakfast burrito have all been delicious. The baked goods so yummy too. The vibe is relaxed and calming. The cutest little coffee shop so glad to have it so close. Will def be coming back. Only complaint is the cold brew is 7 bucks but hey it’s cold brew and it’s Cali.
Portfolio is hands down my favorite coffee spot! Great coffee, wonderful whole beans for purchase, and their food is just so so good. I am also really comfortable with the atmosphere at Portfolio and have always feel welcomed by the staff.
Small size is smaller than most other shops; the taste is decent.Wobbly chairs and tables outside need to be looked at - there's hot coffee resting on top of them!
Overall this was a great experience, but there were some sad downsides. The kitchen was not open when they opened at 8 and we were told 8:30. The manager arrived at 8:30 and said on the weekend no kitchen until 9 but he was willing to do simple things. The açaí bowl, sandwich, and coffees were delicious, just sort of a funky experience. Would go back for sure! Just if you want food, call or know it might not be open when they are open?
Like the spot very much. Extremely Casual, with a youth crowd in attendance. Several coffee choices, and tea. Had some outstanding breakfast biscuits. They are large, and filled with eggs, cheese, bacon. A variety of seating arrangements.
