A classic piece of Long Beach's bar culture, PBS is not to be overlooked. The structure dates back over 100 years, and has been lovingly renovated and refreshed following the pandemic, retaining it's classic bones, laid back vibe, and of course the beloved beer garden, while incorporating all the mod-cons and a fantastic offering of craft beers on the menu, as well as the classics.As it has always been, PBS remains the coolest little bar in Wrigley, a great place to come and unwind, meet new neighbors and old, sit back in the beer garden and enjoy a bit of the good life! Great selection of microbrew and ciders from all over California, especially Long Beach! Big outdoor patio for bigger parties. Bartenders are extremely nice and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong here!

The best place to have fun and the employees are super friendly just like the majority of the patrons! You really need to do yourself a favour and visit this great beer bar, cigars on Friday evening is it!
I LOVE THIS LITTLE GEM! The old Wrigley watering hole has been bought out and reimagined, reformed to be a real neighborhood, safe place to hang out and meet some really interesting people -- starting with the lovely three folks that are the new proud owner-operators. I've already had a couple of parties at this place in the AMAZING huge back garden and regularly meet dozens of frieds there for happy hours on Fridays. There are 27 interesting beers on tap, featuring local brews and some real classics (like BASS ALE and slow pour GUINESS). I have to add that I have already been many times since the reopening a couple of months ago; never ONCE has someone, often a complete stranger NOT offered me a pint. Incredible. In future there are plans to add a food menu but in the meantime there is almost always a delicious pop-up grill in the garden serving hot meals (I think mainly on Thursdays and holidays, but maybe on weekends as well). Just go, go, go. Have a couple pints on your way home!
The bar has been completely remodelled and it’s so nice. Super lovely back area with tables and chairs, clean bathroom! It’s also locally owned by some amazing Wrigley neighbours. Definitely a labor of love from friends within the community.

I prefer this venue a lot. there is a romantic spirit. The food is splendid. the service is dynamic and the team is well trained. The price is honest. greatly recommend.

You know the establishment is top notch when noticable teens are allowed to get in with their fake ids and bar tenders make you wait for a sloppy drink because they're taking shots. 4/5
