Tried them at Smorgasburg when they were doing the holiday market in the Row DTLA. We opted for their fried shroom Bao ($15), came with 2 per order. Speaking of the flavors, it's def creative and one of a kind. Very hipster, I would say! Compared to most Taiwanese bao places I've been to this place is def on the expensive side. I mean, one bao for $7.50 is totally not cheap. Good service, good overall flavor, and vegan!
Went to the ocveganfest to catch them, so we were really excited for this one. Got a shroombao. Food was delectable, packaging was great. My boyfriend does not eat mushrooms but he finished his bao in record time.If I had to point out one thing, I'd say the wait is long but that said, the had some issues starting up the fryer and for food that delicious, it's all good. A bit $$.
I have been following man eating plant for over a year now! I finally got to try them this sunday at smorgasburg in dtla. These 2 items are very filling and you can easily share them between 2 people! The noods are addicting, i mean these are some of my favorite flavors in life! Cilantro mixed with garlic and fried onions and OMG these noods are so satisfying! Would definitely come back to have more and try the vegan spam and the wontons!! This is a heavy meal so come hungry!
Lucked out and got to try maneatingplant at monkish. The food was incredible, service was fast and we cant wait to be back. Fried shroom bao is delicious.
The food is always divine. And their collab with omnipork is good. I can't wait to try their food bus now.
Had their food at a pop up at Munchies in Santa Ana. Dee-lish
The Curry was very good!
Best bao in town! The cheerful, good people here are making special foods. Their exclusive dinner events are worth the splurge.
