Great Japanese restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sashimi and appetizers. I would call this place great Japanese comfort food! I'm Japanese too☺️?
I always tell people, they are sauseas,not sushi chefs. You'll have to trust me on this one. Phenomenal!
It’s just okay. Service is slow despite few customers. Sushi is decent but too much sauce. Fish is fresh ?
Really nice place in LBC. Classic Japanese style sushi place with many offerings from baked sushi rolls, tempura rolls, and of course sashimi. They also have lunch specials and Bento style combination plates, I took the regular sashimi and the quality was really good. The price is decent, and there plenty of selections for food for the non-sushi types.Oh yeah, they also carry Orion :).
A solid pick in an area not overflowing with traditional Japanese restaurants. Additionally, this place opens a but later than the rest, oddly enough later is 9pm or so on the weekends, which is also rare for Long Beach ethnic restaurants. The rolls were good, but our focus were the hamachi and blue crab hand rolls that was tasty and fresh. Also the unagi sushi was done to perfection with the right crispiness on the skin but not over cook. We were there towards the closing end of the night, and they had one server but he was attentive and did well. Being a large place I can imagine the service may suffer if the entire place gets busy, but I can be wrong. Overall we will definitely return as this place is a good departure from the other Japanese restaurants around that focuses more on bento boxes and teriyaki sets.
The sushi was great! Blue crab hand roll was my favorite! The waiter was by himself and he is so kind even though he was by himself. I can't wait to go back and try other rolls!
I first went here in 1991, 30 years ago. The very fact that this restaurant is still in business is a testament to their good work. That quality continues today. My wife and I both enjoyed a nice evening together here. The service and food were both excellent.
The food seems good , but I have gone here 3 times and every time have gotten sick. Sad to say but they need to remodel and clean up the place. Its very dirty!!!!
