Blue Jay was my #1 favorite Chicken place i would always want to come here when i had the chance the last time i went about 3 weeks ago after craving blue jays for a few month they did not sell the delicious potato salad any more and the coleslaw was different it was very vinegary i was soooooooo upset!! i won’t be coming back anymore :(
We visited the Hangar last week and saw a lot of people ordering Jay Bird’s, so we came back to try it.Great flavor…juicy chicken. Fries were nice and crispy.Lemonade had a fabulous flavor, but I found it just a tad sweet.We will definitely come back for some Comeback sauce? as well as some Big Sexy Sauce. Wondering what the sauces are?? Better come find out for yourself, you won’t regret it!
One of my go to places at the Hangar. Nashville hot chicken is decently crispy and always juicy. The sandwiches are well balanced as well. It's not the best and doesn't really compare to Howlin Ray's, but very few places do.
This place was good until they bumped up their prices and started decreasing the amount of food you get. Before it was three tenders and two sides. Now it’s 2 and only 1 side? For 13$? I can list three other places with better value. Used to be my favorite restaurant but now it’s just a waste. Bring back the old menu and I’ll be happy.
We were staying at the Hampton inn and the front desk recommended this place. The fried chicken was great and so were the fries, but the potato salad was just okay. We loved the sauces that came with the chicken. We went around lunch on a Friday and waited about 20 minutes for our food. There was a constant line the whole time we were eating and seemed like the most popular place in the venue.
The chicken is great! The spices and seasoning are spot on. They have different levels of spice. Also the lemonade is super good and refreshing after a bite of a spicy chicken sandwich.
I been here before food is delicious but the fact that they should be closed at 8pm and happen to be close at 701pm and they couldnt even put up a sign. Had us waiting for a good minute no acknowledgment of the staff to let us know they close until one approaches to proceed to tell us they close like really have a sign UP so people don't wait just to hear someone said we closed.
Jay Birds has the hot chicken / fried chicken to eat in Long Beach. Head over to this place in The Hangar - LBX. There is sometimes a line to get at this delicious food so be patient just in case.

Don’t let the long line discourage you. It is a sign of having a strong following. After many visits to the hanger & skipping it b/c of the line, we decided to give it a go. It was so very worth it.
