We, my wife and I and our 2 teenage boys, stayed @ the Hyatt Regency Long Beach from 31st July to 3rd August 2022. All the staff we encountered were very polite and efficient - special shout out to Jose the Bell Man on duty when we arrived. We were worn out after a flight from Ireland and just too late to grab a meal at the hotel or any of the local food venues. Jose sorted out a whopping US Pepperoni Pizza to be delivered to the hotel - just what we needed before we hit the sack. The room (524) was on the small side for a family of 4 and could have used a lick of paint - but the beds and bedding were excellent and the AC was both quiet and effective. Great pool with free towels.
Stayed on the 16th floor, rooms very tired and need to be updated, fittings didn’t all work and stains on the carpet, room offering a very sparse and always needed replenishing, staff friendly and helpful, food offering was good but for us not the usual standard for a Hyatt regency hotel
We stayed here for a convention, and this hotel is conveniently located near the Long Beach Convention Center (it's literally steps away). When we arrived, we were greeted in a super friendly way and we experienced friendly, professional and wonderful service during every part of our stay. Our room, the lobby, and all areas of the hotel we visited were remarkably clean and well-maintained. The views are spectacular. We paid a little extra for an ocean view and it was worth it. Our flight was cancelled and we were able to stay an additional night and the people at the front desk were so nice and caring when that happened. The food is fantastic and fresh in the lobby restaurant and the coffee in the mornings was also very good. 10/10 - would stay again!
Great location to get to lots of food and attractions. Rooms were clean but paper thin so very noisy. And pretty small for a king room. There is no restaurant or room service which was both a surprise and bummer. The website description makes it sound like there is a real restaurant plus a grab and go sundry. Not the case. Pool area not as big as expected so a little tough to get a spot unless you went super early. Overall it was fine just expected a little more with it being a Hyatt and the price paid. Probably would look for other options next time as we really wanted beach time but they are so gross in that area that you have to Lyft to Huntington.
Good disappointing, hair dryer and room safe not working, no room service Nice location friendly staff great view of harbor layout of hotel confusing great pool clean rooms many good restaurants nearby
When you check in, they all you if you want housekeeping services. It's all just lip service and even though they ask, THEY DON'T DO IT!!! It's probably a "we'll make the guest think we care" but they them probably just laugh at their guests and say" ha ha, they fell for it!" Don't ask if you're not going to follow through. Their "restaurant" is BAD fast food. Their hamburger is a frozen patty, unseasoned. I asked for lettuce and tomato ONLY. As they are putting my burger together, on goes a pickle! I am highly allergic and told the person who took my order. 18$ for a burger I couldn't eat. Once again, no follow through.
Great location, beautiful hotel, very friendly staff and super clean rooms. Best pillows ever - where can I buy them? Every place I vist from Dominican Republic to Chicago Hyatt Regency is my first hotel choice. Bit more expensive but worth the money. Thank you!!
We booked 2 rooms, over 400 USD per night for each room. Upon arrival the carpets were filthy, no toiletries provided. The housekeeping didn't come to clean our rooms, the bathtub/sink not cleaned all week, except the last night, when I asked them again. Buttery popcorn on the carpet, stains, beds not done. I spoke to housekeeping supervisor Mark, pleasant, but not much changed. I would not recommend this hotel for that kind of money, is at the level of Motel 6.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff on reception and the bar area were great. Plenty of shops and restaurants just over the road together with the pier and a short stroll to the beach. Parking available on site.
Nice hotel overlooking the beach and pier. They are close to shops and restaurant and walking distance to the Aquarium of the pacific. The rooms are nice and offer a big screen TV, but I recommend you get two bedrooms because the double beds are too small for two adults to share and when you ask for a rollaway bed you get refused because they claim the layout of your room doesn’t allow it. They have a swimming pool and restaurant in house. They offer valet or self parking. Front office staff are nice and helpful. For housekeeping you need to call and schedule for it.
