Just made my second trip to Hokkaido. It was my first stop upon returning to the area. Both the variety and quality are unmatched, in my experience. The environment is simple, but also clean, inviting and efficient. I do feel that it might be a bit better when it's busier, but that's true of any buffet. 100% will visit again.

It was decent, but for my liking it lacks more variety of choices. Their pepper chicken it's really good though good. Also, it would be better if they be more attentive on picking up the dirty dishes, and on top of refilling drinks. I wouldn't go again.

$13.99 for weekday lunch. 10% gratuity automatically added. You pay before entry. Come with low expectations. Okay food, but horrible environmental conditions. Some “warm” entrees were cold. Freshly cooked hibachi/teppanyaki was good. I liked their shrimp ceviche and edamame. Staff only cleared plates and refilled drinks at the end of our meal. Environment was gross. Table extremely sticky. Husband said the men’s restroom had only half functioning toilets, toilet paper all over, and there was a puddle on the floor upon entry. When you looked through the back kitchen (since there was no door), there were puddles of water there, too. Saw some screws/nails in the parking lot that I had to discard for safety concerns for vehicle tires and those wearing thin soled shoes. SMH.

I wouldn't come here with high expectations; it's basically a down and dirty joint for Chinese fast food. It's a bit dingy, but it's a decent buffet for $24.19 ($21.99 plus mandatory 10% service fee). I liked the food; some of it was a bit oily, and the sushi rice was dry, but it's cheap and there's a good variety and good service. Personally I would pay $10 more for a better buffet, but this place works for times you want an affordable variety of Asian food. I'm sad that so many Asian buffets have closed :(

The food at the buffet was really good. However, the restaurant itself was very dirty as they hadn't picked up trash and food off the floors. The women's bathroom was disgustingly dirty as it looked like no one checks them to make sure they are maintained. Also, I didn't like that they add an automatic 10% surcharge to your bill and their senior citizen discount applies for 65 and older. You can see by the picture they crossed it off as I am sure the standard citizen is 55. They definitely overage.

So, me and a friend were in Long Beach. He knew of this place but had never been so he decided to take me. He told me it was a lunch buffet and I was like cool. The exterior of the place was very clean, and it didn't seem like a lot of ppl were waiting to get in to be seated. Inside, there was not much light, and where we were seated the carpet was terribly dirty. But I digress. All in all, the food was not worth what we paid for. I don't eat seafood but my friend said it was not good. I don't think I'll be going back there.

You’ve heard the saying, “going down hill fast”? Well this restaurant has reached the bottom. They used to be a “go-to” place. But we just gave them a second try after swearing them off last time. It proved to be an undeserved visit. The food is not fresh, the “hot” food is barely warm and makes you feel uneasy about eating anything containing meat or seafood. The “cold” food is room temp, the restaurant is dirty and the staff are unfriendly and rude. I don’t know what happened to this place but it wasn’t good!

Went yesterday as a big family over ten people and not even ten minutes of being there the waitress was trying to see who was going to pay for who and persisted when told to come back later.. the waitress didn’t pick up our plates and at the end they tried to double charge us after one of the bills was already paid, very disappointed with the service the food was great but expected more from a restaurant to has four to five stars. Won’t return soon

Teppanyaki is good, their stir fry is also good, and the new tips-included pricing is good for me. But sushi items was not as good as before, and I agree with other comments regarding a feeling of limited choices, even though there are food there - if they cannot keep up with every trays, consider cutting down on some, or rotating items. Keep up with other obvious popular items. Near-empty trays and occasional staled food trays give customers wrong impression. Hope things get better next time.

First time eating here and loved the variety of food they have. we will definitely come back again.Dine in: Yes
