Waited for about 15 mins. Second time in a HiroNori, great bowl and service.
This is the Long Beach outlet of this Japanese ramen chain. They offer as soup bases a heavier pork broth; soy sauce broth and a vegan broth. All three are pretty good and the noodles are handmade. I had the tonkatsu pork broth ramen which had grilled pork belly slices and soy seasoned soft boiled egg. Perhaps the pork belly should be more flavorful and the soup less salty. Egg was quite good. Parking lot in the back is small so car pool if you can.
Great food and amazing service. Not sure which ramen shop to try? Go here! You will not regret it. Note: This place gets busy during peak hours. Go to their website or just call ahead. But, it's worth the wait... promise!
Ordered the original Tonkotsu Ramen with original thick noodles. Broth was thick and very rich. Portion was very filling and everything was still a good temperature for takeout. Broth is separated if you order takeout but the placement of everything in the bowl was very appealing too. Tonkotsu was very tender and easy to chew and savor. Noodles had QQ-ness to it that was nice. Only one frustration was the wait time to receive our small group order for 3. We had enough time to browse the Gamestop nearby comfortably before warming up in our car for the wait (over half an hour). I can understand it was dinner time and tables were packed and a wait list for dine-in at the front. There's obviously a bias towards serving dine-in customers first which is fair but it was upsetting to see our meal was already prepared in the back but it wasn't being packaged out. It seemed like they were fully staffed but maybe that wasn't the case that night.
Tonkatsu Ramen and Vegan ramen were our choices this evening. Extra garlic and spicy sauce. We were craving something soothing and this was just perfect. Came around the 5pm hour on a Monday. Wait time wasn't too long. Friendly and quick service.
First time coming here and definitely not the last. I ordered the shoyu ramen and crispy rice with spicy tuna. The broth was rich and tasty. I’m not really into pork but they seasoned the meat so well it was savory and just melted in my mouth. The crispy rice (fried) with spicy tuna was delicious as well, think of it as sushi without the seaweed. The workers were friendly and helpful.Overall, a great experience with great food in a great city.
Busy even on a Sunday evening. Somewhat chaotic waitlist, but once we sat down, service was very good. Menu is sparse but quality was quite good. Some of our eggs were delivered submerged in the broth.
Hands down the best vegan ramen you can find in Long Beach. I always make it a point to visit every time I’m in town.
Delicious food and great atmosphere!!
First time visiting while on the hunt for a great new a ramen place. Definitely wasn't disappointed. Beautiful ramen broth, blackened pork belly (ordered extra) and the hot spicy sauce on the side is epic! The table next to me were telling their server they should sell it by the bottle for home use, totally agree ? Noodles were my least favorite but were fine. Finally Angel was a jem serving me, made me feel very comfortable and was extremely attentive. The host was a bit cold, I did enter without a mask however so perhaps fair enough? Definitely try this place!
