First of all I normally don't give excellent reviews bc I was taught if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all. But this one is a keeper in Long Beach, CA.Ok to all my vegan lovers in the LA county area I ran across this vegan Cafe called HART & SOUL inwhich I ordered several different items on the menu and forgot to take pictures.I did my ordering online which was pretty safe so, I tried theirs Jackfruit Taco Tuesday inwhich surprisingly it was pretty boss...you get these 5 small street Jackfruit tacos that were very very juicey and seasoned just right topped with a tangy mango coleslaw and served with guac and chips.Oooooo lawd have mercy.....y'all they fooled me with the Chickpea Tuna....OMG it was so good I actually thought I was eating tuna....it was a nice size portion of smooth Chickpeas with chopped celery and other ingredients along with a nice touch of seasonings to make it taste like tuna. It was layed on top of a bed of romaine letter and served with sesame seed crackers which was a nice touch.Than that Chili dog mmmmm....it fooled me as well....good lawd when I bit down into all that goodness I was so delighted....that it was just that good. Let me tell ya, it was a marinated carrot to taste like a hot dog topped with black bean vegan chili and served with some nicely seasoned tarter tots.Oh yea, let me not forget the Heart of it all.. .I washed everything down with an awesome beverage called the Heart drink....it's a perfect blend of ginger, hibiscus, cinnamon, and piloncillo....it was so good that it made my taste buds in my mouth danced with delight.I'm just so sorry I didn't take any pictures, but next time I will. So, to all you vegan lovers out there, if you're looking for a good tasting 100% vegan food place, I suggest you try Hart N Soul Vegan Café.Oh, did I mention they're located in Long Beach,CA and they deliver....
At first I wasn't sure if I was in the right location but I gave them a call and they insured me I was and where it was at exactly. Don't be discouraged by their location but this literally a hidden gem! It's my first time here and besides these folks being really kind to me, their food was boooomb! Real homemade deliciousness! I just tried their oyster mushroom burrito but what through me off was their ginger cinnamon drink! That was good! Cuz I never had ginger and cinnamon together!But happy to have came across this restaurant! ❤️?
Love love loved the Jackfruit tacos! They were delicious. The chickpea dip was amazing as well! I wish y’all was open 7 days a weeks, will be ordering again.
This is an UberEats delivery with a discount code. The Dirty Mac Burger, Fried Oyster Chicken Mushroom Wrap, and String Beans are a decent combination; the Dirty Mac Burger is the tastiest portion of the meal (kind of gritty and mushy, though tasty), the String Beans are good, and the Fried Oyster Chicken Mushroom Wrap is decent though I think the mustard adds a different flavor of salt which makes the meal taste very salty, to me. The food may taste different dining in. Otherwise, the meal is filling though I think the pricing is a bit much.
My tuna wrap was quite soggy and chips not sure of sourcing I.e., Lays? Great customer service and communication. Better directions to get to during dark hours needed. Food was ready in 10 minutes, yet no alert or notification. Very secure online transaction.
