Ordered their famous grounded pepperoni, and it was overloaded with oily base. 3 of us a pizza, 2 of us were disgusted, and 1 thought it was "ok".
I was in the mood for some good Italian food and a romantic ambience. Found this wonderful gem in Belmont Shore. I was happy the moment I walked in. Low lighting with candles on the tables and string lights on the ceiling. Food comes in large portions or family style. Very tasty and satisfying.
Amazing delicious food, exceptional customer service from everyone working there, and great atmosphere! Love the cute romantic low light vibe in there, it's hard to find Italian restaurants like that these days! They also had the best priced wine I've ever seen in a restaurant, $11 for a pitcher of wine! I got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was phenomenal! They even gave us tiramisu on the house so we could try it and it was heaven in the mouth ??? They also have menus on the wall from the 1950s when they first opened when large pizzas were ONLY $1.85! Really cool! Definitely my new favorite Italian restaurant! I wish there was one out in Vegas where I live too. I went to this one when I was visited Cali
Italian Food authentic, amazing customer service ? Thank you Chance for making our dinner memorable. Love the chicken basil and pizza ?. Will definitely be back.
We got the giant meatballs which were very tasty but giant (as expected). The marinara sauce was very good. We also got a meatball pizza (yes we like meatballs) and that was honestly nothing to write home about. Not enough sauce and the crust was hard. The salad and salad dressing were great and big portions. Overall price was on higher end for a bad pizza.
First time coming here. The tomato bisque soup was super good. The waiter recommended it for an extra $1. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a pasta dish that was recommended by the waiter as being one of the favorite dishes. It was good but I'm not a big fan of sausage. The pasta sauce was good. We also had a pepperoni pizza. Will try it again.
Their lunch deals are worth the stop. Try the ground pepperoni they are famous for (ask for it light though as they heap it on) on your pizza and you won't be sorry. Their house dressing is a tasty glop of garlicky yum and you can purchase a bottle to take home. I've never had a bad meal here, it's always good. Their tomato bisque is pretty yummy (don't forget to add some parmesan) but my 92yr old loves the minestrone (who doesn't!! Again add a little parmesan) which comes with evening meals. Anyway you order you will get good food. The only thing that sucks here is how small the bathroom door is!!!
I probably would have Rated Domenico's 2-star if it wasn't for how fast Ivan our server took our order, the food was prepared, and delivered to our table. We are in from Atlanta visiting and just finished walking around the Waterfront Tour of Christmas Lights. I was craving Italian food for the last few days. So my wife took me to Domenico's. We were very excited to try them since they have been serving the Long Beach area since 1954. The Italian aroma inside of the restaurant was very refreshing. However we were disappointed with the lack of flavor the Rotelli pasta that came with the classic veal parmesan had and it was mushy from being over cooked. Also the veal was chewy and had a spongy texture. So my wife requested a refund for it since we barely ate 1/3 of the veal and probably no more than 1/4 of the pasta. We were thankful the manager removed the dish from our bill. The Spicy BBQ Chicken Pizza tasted pretty good. However I was disappointed that my waiter did not bring out the caddy with the parmesan cheese, crushed red peppers, and Italian seasoning like the other waitress did for her tables that ordered pizza. I had to request the crush red peppers. One last thing that threw me for a loop was they replaced the standard Italian traditional olive oil, salt, pepper, and seasoning dip for some new balsamic vinegar dip. Per my wife, the dressing was good but was the wrong combination for the fresh multi grain bread that was brought out prior to our food. However I thought it was nasty and did not taste right.
Yesterday was our first time eating at Domenico’s and I can’t express enough how great the service was! Chance was welcoming and gave us a little history on the restaurant. He shared with us their popular dishes and helped us choose a bottle of wine. The food was delicious!! The wine, appetizers, and our entrees were a 10/10. Shout out to Chance & the manager who came to our table and made sure we were satisfied with everything and even brought us a dessert. Thank you!! We can’t wait to be back.
This place has been there a long time. The food is great and the servers are on spot. Besides Las Vegas what happens at Domenico's stays at Domenico's. Below is a pic of Domenico's at the Lake. I prefer Belmont Shores location it's closer.
