Awesome staff, supper friendly and welcoming. The hotdogs are just as amazing as the pictures. I also tried their asada tacos and was amazed at how good they were. 10/10 would try again and again and again.....
They have great vibes as always. I really love their murals AND music. Once entering, you'll feel "oh yeah.. now I'm in Dirt Dog"Here I got tapatio corn and 3 hot dogs; ??????? ???, ????? ???? and ????? ???, all in my favorite ??????? bun. then added unlimited soft drink. The corn is actually very very nice. You should try! (well, I thought I could cook corn on the cob at home but NO this was way too awesome)
(@evaro.eats)Dirt Dogs was an awesome experience! From the atmosphere, to the food, to the people, I had an excellent time! I tried four items off the menu and I would highly recommend each one. Im even bummed I didnt try more! (Coming back for sure!) My favorite was the Tapatio dog! It was so spicy and delicious, with a perfect crunch from the pork rinds on top. My second favorite item was the chili lime fries. SO delicious! I recommend coming here if you love hot dogs and fun combinations.
I usually get the Snoop Dog, but honestly everything is good...
Have always wanted to taste a good loaded hotdog and fries. Dirt Dog finally opened their new location in Long Beach. Grabbed my girlfriend and came for our lunch today. Very happy that I got to visit this beautiful city again. We ordered two dogs, one loaded fries and their signature elote corn. Very fulfilling and satisfied.1. Snoop’s dogg $9.50 before tax2. Tapatio dog $8.95 before tax3. Asada Fries $9.75 before tax4. Tapatio elote corn $4.75 before taxThere are two kinds of bread to choose for your hot dog buns and either one is butter grilled, very crispy on the outside and fluffy when you take a bite, perfectly combined with all the toppings plus the bacon wrapped hotdog flank. The fries themselves without any sauce and toppings are already well seasoned and you can taste the freshness in the potato, yet the toppings are not overpowering the fries so you won’t feel too greasy and heavy. Last but not least, the signature Elote Corn; super juicy with natural sweetness, perfect sauce covered and every single bite is heavenly awesome!! Every food is just WOW!!Obed did a wonderful customer service taking our orders and explaining to us regarding the menu. There are too many good items to choose from. While we enjoying our food, he constantly checking on us and make sure we have everything we need. Very friendly and welcoming. Great service and thank you!!They are located in a shopping plaza with Ross and other retail stores so the parking is very easy and free. Both my girlfriend and myself enjoyed this visit very much and we almost experienced a good food coma after the feast!!!
Dirt Dog never disappoints! The interior of this location is beautiful and spacious. The service was amazing and we got our full order in under 5 minutes (Tapatio Dog, Pastrami Dog, Carne Asda Fries, 2x Carne Asada Tacos, and Tapatio Corn). The Pastrami dog is always a good pick if you want something extremely meaty with a hint of sweetness and tart. Their new item the Tapatio Dog is another home run. The Tapatio dog is perfect if you love Tapatio hot sauce, crispy & salty chicharrones, and queso fresco. The buns they use are always nicely buttered up and crispy and always hold their hot dogs without falling apart. The Tapatio Corn was delicious as well, it was flavorful, had a good amount of spread, and was soft and juicy! Usually, whenever we have corn on the cob, the kernels stick to our teeth. However, we did not face this problem with the Tapatio Corn! Also, the Carne Asada Fries and Tacos were crazy good. Normally we don't expect good Asada from a hot dog place, but these two items were amazing. They were both flavorful and the Asada was crazy tender. Overall, we recommend this location for anyone who loves to eat delicious hot dogs!
I don't need much incentive to visit Dirt Dog (refer to Yelp Review #658), but it doesn't hurt when OTM Club offers a curated Tapatio Dog. They recently expanded to Long Beach in the Circle Center Shops north of Planet Fitness. This time I brought my brother & son to enjoy this gourmet dog deliciousness. Service is friendly & exceptional like the Downey location, we were warmly greeted by Jacquelyn & placed our order: 2 TAPATIO DOGS (center cut bacon, serrano spread, red sauce, grilled veggies, Tapatio aioli, chicharrones, queso fresco, cilantro) for me & my brother, TAPATIO CORN (Tapatio compound butter, Tapatio aioli, queso fresco, cilantro), DIRTY ESQUITE (lime, mayo, chile powder, cotija, cilantro, bacon bits), & GARLIC FRIES (garlic confit, parsley, garlic seasoning, garlic dip) to share, & CHICKEN NUGGETS MEAL (7 piece nuggets, kids fries, Oreos, kids drink) for my l'il guy.The Tapatio Dog replaced the Red Dog (spicy red sauce, chipotle aioli, onions, red & green bell peppers), which I loved; though change can be worrisome, this new version is absolutely a fantastic marriage of flavors with added chili heat (spicy but not overwhelming) & unctuous yummyness from bacon! While I enjoyed the Dirty Esquite (it was also a lot easier to eat out of a cup), I prefer the bangin' heat & buttery Tapatio Corn. There's a nice bite of heat & a backend kick that creeps up, catching you off guard. Nom, nom, nom... you gotta try both! The perfect fry... crispy on the outside, mashed potato-like on the inside; I've always loved garlic fries, but Dirt Dog's ups the garlic pow with multiple ingredients: confit, seasoning, & dip. There's so much garlic pungency that even Dracula will stay away. LOL ;-) My brother is a fan too... he mentioned there's one in his neck of the woods (Pasadena) & will be making stops there with his co-workers. =)Like his sister, M didn't dunk his nuggets in ketchup, which meant they tasted good on their own. I liked that they weren't greasy, perfectly fried & juicy. He enjoyed the bite-sized chicken nuggets, though he loved the fries even more because they were gobbled up 1st. M loved their fries so much that he even ate some of the garlic fries, which he normally avoids. :-O This is one of his fav kids meal because his meal comes with dessert, & my boy loves his Oreos. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯The large dining room is decorated with murals of L.A.'s legends, including Snoop Dogg, but no patio/outside dining option. They have a Polaroid wall where you can take a pic & pin it to their Wall of Fame; we took 2. :-) The restrooms are located in the back; the ladies room is spacious, clean, & well-stocked. While there's plenty of parking in this large shopping center, it might be hard to find spaces near the entrance since they're next to a fitness center. As mentioned previously, Dirt Dog's price points are on the higher side; however, these are not your ordinary hot dogs. So much f-l-a-v-o-r, loaded with toppings & condiments... these gourmet street dogs are worth every cent! Excellent service from Jacquelyn & Carlos -- thanks for the hospitality!!Two thumbs up!! Located in the heart of Downey, Dirt Dog offers up dopalicious gourmet dogs, exceptional service, & chill vibes that's a must for you to drop in. Swing by & have a l'il dirt... it's good for ya! ;-)Dirt Dog continues to dig up new territories to expand to, offering a bombtastic menu of gourmet dogs, fries, corn, tacos, desserts. Great food & excellent service, I'm down with these dopalicious dawgs & I'm sure you will be too!Highly Recommended: Tapatio (my current fav!), Elote, & Mutt (this is the best of both worlds if you can't decide between the Tapatio or Green) Dogs; Tapatio Corn (a must try if you're an elote corn lover!); Dirty Esquite (if don't like the mess, this corn in a cup is a neater option); Garlic & S&P Fries; Little Angels Mini Corn Dogs &
Came by and visited my old college and decided to make my way around the neighborhood. I saw Dirt Dog and was curious about trying out their new Tapatio menu items so I decided to pop in!The Tapatio dog is filled with all sorts of spicy goodies. Like Serrano spread, red sauce, onions, bell peppers and Tapatio aioli! I was too scared to order that so I let the husband handle that one. I was more interested in that delicious looking Tapatio corn topped with queso fresco, Tapatio butter, and Tapatio aioli! When the order came out, the food looked delicious! I ate the corn and even though it was very spicy, it just tasted so good, I couldn't stop eating! Eventually I did have to take a break because the fire growing in my mouth was just too much to bear! But once it settled down, I ate the whole thing up! Will definitely get it again! I tasted the hot dog and as usual, Dirt Dog never disappoints! They have a wonderful way of putting flavors together to create such a delicious combo. To top off our meal, we got some of their delicious horchata ice cream! I know how big the portions are so I made sure to save room for that, they are very generous with the amount of ice cream they give you, and that churro on top just takes the cake!Visit Dirt Dog when you get the chance! Perfect for those cheat days, or when you're craving something delicious!
Got the Tapatio Hot Dog with Lobster Roll Bun. Bun was toasted crisp, golden brown on the outside! The sausage was juicy. Love the heat of the Tapatio sauce! Elite Corn was grilled perfectly, Tapatio sauce goes well with the corn! Elote fries were very crispy. Obsess with the Cotija Cheese & Lime Mayo combo! Churros were covered with cinnamon sugar with cinnamon whipped cream on the side. Cinnamon whipped cream balanced off the sweetness.
Dirt Dog’s bacon-wrapped hot dogs are fully loaded & absolutely delicious! When I used to have late nights out in LA, getting street cart hot dogs was probably the highlight of my night. Dirt Dog reminds me of those dogs, but better and cleaner!Elote Dog ($8.95) was my favorite. If you’re a fan of elote, you’ll fall in love with this dog. The combination of corn, lime mayo, cotija, chili powder, cilantro and bacon bits was truly magnificent. The flavor hit just right for me and it’s also good for those that can’t handle their spice. You have the option to get the traditional bun or the lobster roll on all of their hot dogs.Tapatio Dog ($8.95) & Tapatio Corn ($4.75)Let me warn you that these are SPICY!! The corn is slathered with tapatio aioli - my tongue was burning the entire time, but I couldn’t stop eating because the corn on the cob was so good. Personally, I don’t think I’d get this particular one again since it was so fire, but I think I’d love the dirty corn, which is the mild version. Likewise, the tapatio dog was also too fire for me lol.Not only do they have a variety of hot dogs, but they also have an assortment of fries. DUI fries ($10.75) are loaded with pastrami, carne asada, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli, and cilantro. I love that they give you so much meat and it’s a large portion that can be shared between 2-3 people.Dirt Dog has locations in SoCal & Las Vegas. They just opened up their newest location in Long Beach a few weeks ago. Lots of indoor seating at this spot and a free parking lot with plenty of spaces.
