Very good mac and cheese but they recently changed their recipe and it has now become one of my least favorites sadly. It use to have a creamy texture and cheesy taste but now has an overwhelming mustard taste. I needed to add extra salt and pepper but even then it still was strong. So I might stay away from ordering that from now on sadly. On the other hand their chicken is still very good and flavorful. Their chicken sandwiches are 10/10 it’s a must try (Tip: add a cheese slice to it)!
The lady in the counter was kinda rude when I wanted to replace the number that they would notify when my food is ready. She didn’t even verify after, but oh well, I guess she just doesn’t care that much, her customer service was probably was like a one time thing, nvm I dont want to judge. Food is great, its soo good. Would definitely go higher with the heat, medium is like mild for me, so def go higher with your spice! Would come back but the lady in counter was just not for me, hopefully you get a better cashier that is not rude. -2 stars just b/c of her. Food is a 4/5, customer service 2/5.
A sandwich with more heat than taste. Upon first bite the initial taste was the sauce on the chew then the flavor of the chicken was slowly introduced until quickly overwhelmed by the heat slap to the taste buds. The taste of the chili spice's heat immediately engulfs your mouth and you'll be in need of a drink to quell it. Overall if you're into a 70:30 ratio of heat to flavor sandwiches, this is the spot. You can also ask for a tot and fry mixture if you can't make a choice between spud presentation as well.The staff was friendly and the dining area was pretty clean. There's only one restroom so you may be waiting if the restaurant is crowded. Went during the 8:00pm hour and the wait for one sandwich was around 30-45 minutes as they were dealing with a backlog of delivery orders and a line of 10 people which some customers left due to not wanting to wait that long for their order.
I have been coming here almost every Monday after I get out of class for a few months now. I am obsessed! Not only does the chicken have a good amount of heat ( I always get "the feel it twice") but the chicken actually taste good as well! Mac n cheese is pretty decent. Plus this establishment's title is pretty fun to say!Customer service is always friendly and great. I always recommend this place if anyone is in the area.
This place was good overall staff was friendly, the chicken sandwich had good flavor but was basically cold along with the fries when I got them. I picked it up as soon as it was ready despite not even getting a text like I was told. And 2 dollars for a kids cup drink is pretty ridiculous would be worried if I got any kind of heavy spice with such a small cup. Not a bad place for a quick meal but wish I would’ve went elsewhere.
The chicken was fine, though they use one of those batters that easily separate from the chicken when bitten or cut into. The tots barely escaped being undercooked and were well seasonedThe real gripe is the fact that their Nashville hot rating system is wholly inaccurate. I ordered chicken at the "feel it twice" and "call the morgue" levels. Morgue level required a theatre production of explaining which peppers they used and the signing of a waiver; something I've never had to do at any hot chicken place when ordering the hottest.The heat at both levels was a bit of a disappointment, especially knowing what peppers were supposedly involved. These pieces were 2 levels apart and looked almost identical (my apologies, I didn't think to snap a photo). Upon taste "morgue" was noticeably hotter than "twice" but I wasn't clamoring to make it stop or for liquid relief with every bite; or any bite for that matterIt's perfectly fine if your hot chicken isn't the hottest on the block, but don't use bogus descriptors that don't come close to the intersection of imagination and reality...With that said, I am still curious about that breakfast burrito.
All around amazing place to eat. My favorite is the banana pudding. Mild heat for me is almost too hot, and it wrecks my bowels, but it's totally worth it. The sauce and coleslaw are a fantastic combo on their sandwich. Tater tots are nice and crispy and their mac & cheese is pretty good too.I rarely have issues ordering here, and when I do the staff is always very accommodating
I've been to the long beach location several times and I am very impressed. The "mild" tenders are spicy, in a good way. It has enough kick to it where you can taste it but it's not overwhelming. The tenders are a righteous size, definitely worth the price. The location is very clean and covid safety protocols are followed. Even during their busy hours the food is made right and in a very timely manner. Great staff, they answered all my questions and helped me understand how the rewards points work. Definitely coming back and recommending.
Cluck & Blaze first caught my attention on a friend's Tik Tok. I ordered the three piece tenders meal, medium, with a side of Mac and cheese. This is unquestionably the best cheat meal I've had in a long time (totally worth it) and quite possibly the best chicken tenders I've had. Think, Raising Cains but there's actual quality and flavor other than peanut oil. It took about twenty minutes to get our food - this place is worth checking out. ✔
Anytime you crave some spicy chicken, come here! I love spice so I like to go for the Call Mom Cluckin Mac or Call Mom Breakfast Burrito. If I just want the chicken, I dial it back a bit to the Feel It Twice Tenders. Also, if you get a combo of anything, I'd recommend the tater tots or the mac and cheese over the fries. The fries are fine, but the others really hit the spot.
