They had a food truck right in front of Convention Center during a trade show: thank you for sparing us the 2 minutes to cross the road and get to the brick-and-mortar restaurant ;)Decent BBQ chicken pizza (sorry Italian friends... they call it pizza here! And it's not bad!), super fast service, expensive but cheaper than the rip-off neighbor food truck ("deli doctor" - avoid like the plague if you ever see it).
The hired a senior hostess that was warm and friendly. Got you seated quickly and kept checking on you as they were short staffed that day. Food was good and so was our server.
I am not a fan of thinner crust pizzas. California Pizza kitchens pizzas are not only thinner crust but there's very little toppings on them... mostly just crust a little bit of salty sauce and a little bit of meat. If you order the meat lovers or the pepperoni/sausage you really don't get much sausage with the pepperoni. I would not order another pizza at California Pizza kitchen. The salad was pretty good and the soup was okay.
Expensive, oily, high calorie food, reasonable service. Frequented by late teens and 20-somethings on dates and on social currency building exercises.
The food is really good. The service has always been good to me. The mushroom pepperoni pizza is one of my favorites. The butter cake and ice cream is delicious!

I ordered online and paid. When I went to pick up my order, they made me wait in the 30 minute takeout line with people that were ordering right then and there. What is the point of ordering an hour in advance online if you're just going to wait at the restaurant any way? I ended up being late for a meeting with a client which didn't end well. Totally unacceptable, do not order online from CPK.
Sloppy service during thanksgiving holidays. Waiting time was more than half an hour. After placing the order, it took 45 min to get them. Waitress missed the soup and ice tea and after asking she was like did you order for them and later apologized.Fresh Strawberry Lemon Cooler - Good in non alcoholic drinksMexican Street Corn - Winner out of what we ordered. Must try.Santa Fe Chicken - Average. Became cold as the waitress messed up our soup order.Dakota Chickpea + Barley Soup - Healthy option, add some salt and pepper to make it better.Must have chosen some other place. It was extremely crowded on that day. Go on a usual day to get best of it.
Is definitely pricey for the portions you get. The food is good and they have many choices. We had to ask a different waiter for bread since ours was too distracted.
