First time visit, very quiet day Thursday day. Was concerned due to how quiet it was at first due to its location, but I saw a pizza in the window of the kitchen and was it a sight to see! . . Im not a fan of ordering at countertops, as it gives it fast food vibes, but I understand in this climate it saves walk outs etc. Ordered mozzarella sticks and these delicious lil f*ckers where sent from a different planet and worth every cent. Certainly fresh for sure and full of flavour. Calzone was also great, crisp on outside tender on inside. Left me wanting more but was too full. Only piece of feedback I could leave is reduce portion size of mozzarella sticks, my wife and i ordered a portion each, but one portion would have been still a struggle. would have had dessert too but I was full after apps. But looking forward to returning and trying dessert, keep up the work guys!

Full disclosure: I am from New York and have eaten good pizza. Most California pizza is pretty bad in comparison, though there are places like Mulberry Street and Joe's that do well (they're both local small chains) and rise to the lowest rungs of "good" pizza in comparison. This is not one of those places. In a pinch and a hurry, I ordered a personal 8" cheese pizza and asked for the crust to be well done. The woman who took my order was pleasant and helpful, I am grateful for that. I had it to go so I could take it back to my desk.Good pizza has a flavorful crust you can eat on its own. NY style, Chicago style, Sicilian, even the crackers-with-sauce-and-cheese from the Midwest, you can eat the "bones" on their own or as part of a texture blend with the cheesy parts of the next slice.(I was going to talk about good quality cheese, what makes a pizza sauce good, and how it all works together to make a (imagine italics) pizza, but I've run out of time.)The pizza looked good, and smelled... plain, with a slight aroma of garlic (that's fine by me). The flavorless crust was unevenly thick, mid-way between NY and Chicago-style, doughy with a few places that were flaky, but not crisp; the sauce's flavor was decent (hints of garlic) if a bit sweet; and the cheese was thick, but did not have the grease layer. Hot, too.Final verdict: mediocre pizza, even by California standards. By my standards, this is pizza-like food. There are better pizza joints within 10-minute walking distance of this Buono's. If I have more time, I'll go to one of those - and, if not, I'll go to the cafe.

First thing to know... they charge more to dine-in vs carry-out (haven't seen that anywhere else) and they don't honor their online coupons if you're dining in, even the ones that don't specify "carry out only". False advertising/not honoring your promotions is my biggest pet peeve.Pizza was above average. Beer wasn't cold.If you live within walking distance and you're doing carry-out and using a coupon, it's a decent option. I won't ever dine-in or order a beer again.

The first thing I asked when I walked in was “do you have thin crust pizza”? I was told no but they could thin out the crust. I was like OK so let me get a personal pepperoni and a small Caesar salad. I really didn’t pay attention when paying the $25 that I was charged for a huge salad that was bland and needed Caesar dressing and also cheese lol. Even though the pizza looks delicious in the picture it also lacked flavor completely flavorless just tasted like pasty tomato sauce loaded with cheese unfortunately this place needs space in their life. That wasn’t even the worst part. There was a family sitting next to me and they had already been waiting for their order when I arrived and when their order was brought out they addressed to the employee that it was wrong. The employee came back with the receipt in his hand and argued with them for five minutes that they ordered it incorrect instead of just fixing the pizza which probably would’ve saved everyone some time. I understand that mistakes happen but if it’s a simple topping to half of a pizza why not just do that instead of arguing for five minutes about who is right and who is wrong.

Buono's has the best pizza, but this review is about their cold sandwiches (and I do have to mention the pizza and chocolate cake) that we just can't stop getting for lunch. All of their sandwiches are great and you can just grab it and go. We did this a lot when we were Christmas shopping. Their service is fast and ever so nice. They have 8 inch and 12 inch sandwiches. Their Ham and Cheese is just great and their turkey and cheese is wonderful. Also try their Tuna sandwich. You will be in heaven. Of course we also get pizza and pasta there and it is all great. Their deserts are wonderful. You will love this place. Have fun.

Excellent service! The food was delicious and the portions were much bigger than we expected. We dined on the outdoor patio next to the fountains, and it was lovely. We'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious, we ended up getting the pizza and pasta combo. We also got salads and garlic bread! 4 to dine with food left over. ?

The food is amazing. Full of flavor and loaded. I highly recommend.

My "Buonoasaurus" kid's square pizza with mushrooms was a work of art.The dough was pillowy, fresh, and arrived hot, and the toppings and cheese were generous!I don't even have any kids. I just really love square pizza. This nailed it! Absolutely best pizza in Long Beach! And a special shout-out and thanks for all of the hard-working restaurant people, in this challenging time?

Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals.I had the Lasagna and she had the rigatoni. Food was great, even after being brought our food they kept on checking on us. Enjoyed the whole experienceOh forgot, we ordered at counter
