Only real boba place in Lodi and it's pretty good. I'd recommend a strawberry black tea 50% sweetness with honey boba and strawberry popping boba! I love that they do this drink here and it's not with the chunky strawberry jam like other places. They have a big selections of drinks and you can customize basically anything so you can't really complain if you don't like something cause you can change it to your likeness.Only mild complaints are it's kinda a bummer its hours are super tight but with the staffing shortages I can't blame them, it also leads to the wait time being a bit long but I'm pretty sure that just comes with the nature making the drinks cause everywhere else I've gone takes just about as long.
Place isn't as well stock as it used to be, item selection has been vastly reduced and they are no longer selling their delicious cookies and have discontinued many of my favorite drinks. However their ice cream is the best and I wish that they could be purchased as pints instead of just scoops.Also missing the Bubble waffle cones!UPDATE: Thank you for your thoughtful response. I am sadden to learn the reasons why items were discontinued and I do hope you'll give your cookies another try as I found your cookies so much better than Cumbl Cookies (and other shops) which are overloaded with an excess of sugar and are overpriced.
This place has been open long enough to have things figured out. The tea is good, the desserts are pretty average.Unfortunately its very disorganized and understaffed, I have sympathy but every time in there is a huge mess of people and with a lack of signage or direction from employees on how customers should stage and order the wait times are crazy long and the customer base ends up all mad at each other.Then considering the very limited hours probably gestating this problem it's simply not worth it to go in.They merely have the luxury of being the ONLY boba place in Lodi.
They are never open. Even when they say they are. Been by on several occasions. The good: yay, a boba tea shop! Pretty good drink recipes-- for some reason my particular drink didn't have adjustable sweetness level, but it was delicious nonetheless. Clean, good looking store and helpful staff.The bad: I got there last Monday at 11:30 and looked at the door, which listed the hours as opening at noon. After coming back at noon, they still looked closed so I approached the door closer to see a sign closed Mondays. I double checked Google...as of 1/31/22, it said open Mondays. I drove 20 minutes with my heart set on rewarding myself for making it through last week and was disappointed with that obviously. (Please update the comm!)Now, back to the good....and yes, I will take a peach tea as a consolation prize.
This review is during covid restrictions and temporary adjustments... take out only. We ordered a Thai Milk Tea with Boba. The drink was good. Limited employees; however, the wait for our drinks didn't take too long. We will definitely be back to support whenever we are in the area.
I'm so happy Sweet Lab brought boba to Lodi. I really hope Sweet Lab will stick around for the long term. It's super convenient living only 3 min away than traveling to Stockon for a quick boba fix. Been a customer since grand opening lol, and very satisfied with your service and product. Thank you!
Very fresh and good balanced milk tea. The Boba pearls are soft and not chewy the staff very nice. The place is clean and modern.
Great service every time I go always great teas I feel like somtimes the tea is just a little sweet for my taste but other than that it is a great place to go for boba.
Even though you wait like 15 minutes for your drink and sometimes they run out of certain boba options it’s still a really great spot. People don’t understand what goes on in the back when thinking about how long they’re waiting or the fact that the ingredients used to make boba come from another country when they get mad that there’s no more boba for them. Another thing to consider is that the drink you order is being made fresh. Of course it’s going to take some time to be made. A little patience goes a long way especially considering how amazing all of their drinks taste! All in all this place is great, a lot better than some other places I’ve been?? it makes me mad to think some of these customers have no compassion or empathy. They should work a full shift at Sweet Lab themselves so they’ll think twice about complaining for things that the workers can’t control.
