Not what it use to be back in the day . The brown sauce was absolutely terrible full of lumps and greasy I think it was warmed up in the microwave. The only decent hickory pit left is the one in Walnut Creek across from los Lomas high school. Don’t waste your time in Livermore. They don’t even give you the pickle spear with your ribs
I had one of the best meals that I’ve ever had in a long time ! The service was impeccable and the place reminded me when I was a kid, clean, inviting and it’s t”The Hickory Pit! you cannot have better smoked meat or better barbecue in the East Bay then going to the Hickory pit, and hour waitress Flor was outstanding even though she was just getting started she should be there for 20 years do not fire Flor thank you very much Flor! I highly recommend going to Emil villas The Hickory pit
Like other area restaurants, it appeared to have a staffing shortage. We were a party of six and the food sat in the window a LONG time before coming to our table. They weren't busy, but our waiter disappeared.
It's been awhile since I've eaten here. Food still the same. Ribs n breakfasts are ?.
It was a really nice experience... friendly staff and tasty comfort food..I enjoyed the country fried steak and two sides.. liked their cole slaw too... highly recommend!
If you like corned beef hash from a can, order here for $13.95. Kind of spendy for something from a can. I expected good corned beef hash from a BBQ joint, but I guess I'm a bit naive.
One of my favorite old school eateries. Food is always great whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner its consistent.
Everything we go to eat at Emil villa,s I get the rib sampler fantastic taste, meat falls right off the bone, sauce are delicious over the ribs, And the staff all are very respectful to all that come to eat If you get a chance to go do it. It is the BOMB OF A PLACECheck it out in Livermore ca
