Dandy Dogs is an American 50's inspired diner type of atmosphere. They specialize in hamburgers and hot dogs. I couldn't resist ordering the NY cheese steak sandwich. Although, I inquired on what exactly their definition of a cheesesteak entailed. It was not what I was expecting. Perhaps, there was some miscommunication. I was expecting a thinly sliced steak cooked on the grill with melted cheese, grilled onions and peppers. What I received was a thin solid steak with cold cheese. The owners provide quick service and were friendly. There were several regulars in the diner having lunch.
All the ingredients were extremely fresh and high-quality in my double cheeseburger. Same with the fries. My order came very quickly.Don’t tell anyone about this hidden gem! I enjoyed this as much as an In-N-Out Burger, but without the long lines and crowds!

We had a Italian and a Cajun dog along with fries and onion rings. Both dogs were very dry. We will not be back. The fries and onion rings were not tasty. Very disappointing since this place came recommended.
The worst hot dog I ever had. Definitely not Caspers nor anywhere near it. I would rather have a hotdog from Costco any day than this one. The condiments were very little and anything extra they charge. The Pepsi was flat obviously they don’t change their CO2 tanks. If you want a real hot dog do not go here, don’t waste your time or money.
Great little place! Always really nice service and great food. If you want any diner type food this is your place in Livermore! Love the burgers and shakes. They even offer breakfast too!
